I messed up my save games (big deal) and I've encounted these shades on the road. I saved my game before the fight and it is my only save game (ok so i messed up) but I can't beat these things. I've tried over 20-30 times but i can't beat them. I have only lesser heal potions.

They keep killing me and I can't advance? PLEASE HELP.

I do not want to start over again that is like 10-12 hours that I don't have due to my busy job.

and before you ask I have hte game set on easy, but even on easy the game is just soo hard.

What characters/builds do you have with you? If you have morrigan use her cold attacks to freeze them and shatter (use a critical hit on a frozen enemy) them. Lightning damage works wonders as well. Melee is not the direct solution here. If you have a shock bomb or traps place/throw them.

It is not a technical question... you should have posted in gameplay forum... if you have Wynne (and I doubt that), or you have Herbalism - try creating some more efficient potions.

As for the tactics, try to atack one target with all your characters, use magic... use buffs on your most powerful characters, use bombs...

I'm sorry to of posted here but I have no idea what to do. I've been trying for 45 minutes now.I tried targeting the main shade but everyone dies before he dies. I've tried splitting up the group and everyone still dies. I've tried kiting and everyone still dies. I have everyone using ALL their abilities yet still I can't hit anyone.

I've been having trouble with the game so far but this is the straw that broke the camels back. I can't believe how difficult this game is even on easy mode.
