When l try to give it back to Kaitylin after saving Redcliff Village, she excepts and leaves...but when l check my inventory lve still got the weapon.

Yep, has happened to me on both playthroughs so far, both when wielded and in the inventory.

This bug is also on the 360 however on the pc version it does remove the sword,

I do not know why however. It could be that the PC has a patch
