I somehow managed to disappear the tools used in the morph editor for editing the morph, I still have the normal toolbar topside in the toolset, with file, edit, save and so forth.

What is gone is the tool window with options for eyes, ears, presets etc. Does anyone know if there is a shortcut for toggling this tool window perhaps, or some other solution? I have been googling and checking the wiki, some forums etc, with no luck. It would be irritating to be forced to reinstall it all due to some minor user error.

Did you try going to view, then object inspector?

Aye, the object inspector is a empty grey box now.

Only other thing I can think of is... Did you try clicking on the actual morph in the editor itself. Sometimes, when my object inspector goes blank (after removing the palette) while editing my morph, just clicking on it brings it back.

Other than that, I am out of ideas.

The fiendish problem persists! Clicking the object did not help, neither did rebooting or mashing random keys in blind rage. However I must thank you for your advice, I now understand the problem lies with the object inspector in some form, and with this I can do a more precise search for solutions on the web. If I find something that works I will post it here.

Edit:
The User Interface is working properly, tried deleting the preference xml wich indeed reset the position of the different windows, but the problem with the blank object inspector remains. The quest goes on.

I had the same problem just now.

I deleted the file "Layouts3" in Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Toolset

Restarted Toolset - now I have my morph tools back.

Interesting, I tried the same method without success, but perhaps I should have rebooted as well. Rebooting tends to solve many mysterious issues! Anyway it is sort of resolved, I found that a newer version of the toolset was out so I installed it instead, and if I run into problems again I suspect deleting the layout file will be sufficient.

Well reinstalling helped at first, then I exported a couple of morphs as .mops and now it is back. Deleting toolset cache and layouts3.xml did not work. Hurrah!

After further experiments...

The morph tools disappear when I double-click on an .mhr file to open it (and the toolset), then I have to close the toolset and delete the layouts3 file. Then open the toolset and open the .mhr file in the toolset (with file-open)to get the morph tools back. Opening the files within the toolset works consitently.

I think I love you, in a strictly manly way of course....opening the toolset first then loading in the morph from there works every time, I was just about ready to delete the whole thing and forget about morphs, but now it works perfectly!

Such a simple solution to a truly aggravating problem!

I had a constant problem with getting this bug but forgetting the solution—which I knew was incredibly simple, it just eluded me—until I placed in the folder where I store my morphs a text file named "YOU CANNOT OPEN THESE FROM HERE, IDIOT.txt" Since then, it's been sunshine and roses.
