I noticed that if I get stunned the same time I use powers, they do not deploy correctly, ie. Decoy doesn't appear, Overload doesn't stun and Energy Drain does not give shields. But you still enter the cooldown stage.

Is it a glitch, or is it a feature of stunlocks?

And you "throw" grenades that never leave your hand apparently too. Yep.

Smash does go off in those cases, but that power has a weird behavior anyway

This, it's really annoying. And they will cancel your reloads, often several times in a row >_<

Geth stun lock stops all the things.

Only if you get stunned after the power is cast. After the shockwaves appear you can just cancel the rest of the animation yourself, as it serves no practical purpose. If they stun you during the long activation however, you're screwed.

One question, is it the stunlock why I can't take cover some time when I'm under have fire by the Geth?

It is. Can't move, can't roll, can't use powers, can't get into cover, can't even use a survival kit. You can sometimes fire, and if you've charged a charging weapon, it will release. Graal seems to have saved my life against single Hunters recently...

its bad but it was worse in ME2 where enemies would ridiculously gang-stun you endlessly in a loop til you die. superbad

How does this differ from Geth in MP? :/

I personally REALLY hate when my "duck into cover" animation gets stuncancelled. So I stand up, and try to get into cover again, spend the next 5 seconds derping while that prime keeps shooting me, and then I die.

The only way to deal with it is to be in cover when a hunter or prime shoots you. Being in cover keeps you from getting stunned.

Oh god, yes. Everything else I might be able to deal with, but not being able to get into cover is ridiculous.

Is a stunlock another term for being staggered? Or is there a special feature to a Geth staggering you?

You're going to have to shoot or use your powers eventually...

You can shot from cover and still maintain this resistance.  Try it without targetting (RMbutton) and you will see.

Stunlocking is what happens to krogans*, batarians and turians when they are staggered by geth.  There is a bug that drastically extends the duration of the stagger and also allows multiple attacks (like prime shots or hunter shots) to lock them in the stagger animation until they die from all the attacks.

*Krogan vanguards do not suffer from this bug.

Thanks, Shampoohorn.

I've almost never used those three races, so I had no idea. What kind of sucks is that I probably won't use them at all now that I know about this.
