Yes , his store totally sucks but I found it interesting that I found a way to kill the thugs for some extra XP and still keep his store open
All you do is kill them and run out of the store before he gets a chance to say anything lol
Go back in and he will act as if you intimidated them into leaving and therefore stay open , but you really killed them and got XP
In Orzammar you can kill the thugs who are threatening that shop owner , and still have his store open instead of him running away
