Didn't even get the chance to try a Gold run. I was to busy trying to survive on Silver. Is it just me or does the AI seek out certain players (perhaps ones that have been downed previously) It felt like every Ravager, Marauder and Banshee on the map really wanted a piece of me!

Hey, folks!

Well, I know it is after the fact, but I finally got a Bioware dev to confirm what the official end time of this event was... Derek Hollan PM'd me back saying:

Hi DR,

The official time is the blog time. 10AM PST, Friday to 4AM PST Monday.

So, Chris mis-typed on the first post of this thread -- the Bioware blog time was the correct time, so everything we did after 10am PST yesterday DID count towards the weekend operation.

So glad my friends and I kept at the community goal yesterday afternoon/evening (just in case the blog was the right time).

EDIT: Also, for those asking in this thread -- we will probably hear if we succeeded in the community goal or not either today or tomorrow. Commendation packs (and if community goal was met, victory packs) usually start going out Tuesday night, so be patient. If you don't have yours by Thursday, then is the time to contact EA support.

Those never... ever... ever... ever go out before Tuesday. Like every single operation that has occurred on this game.

I feel yah! Usually when it gets that bad I'll camp some high ground and snipe. During the objective rounds,  if my character can't offer any real defensive synergy. I'll skirt the perimeter and draw fire from other players. It helps to remember it's a game and not get  offended by others play style, especially on bronze where everyone seems to want to rule the map.

I always thought silver matches could be very hard, but doable, and at first gold was extremely tough, yet I received a bit of cash and XPs for trying. Then I joined a great team and managed a full extraction! Gold definitely isn't impossible!

As it has been stated in other forum topics. It takes 36-48 hours after the end of a operation for the telemetry department(The number crunchers) to confirm or deny the goals have been reached. For those who are insistent on getting their packs moments after the end of the Operation patience is a virtue.
Being there is a DLC coming out around the time of the packs release i would advise not opening them until the DLC has been installed, so that you may have a chance at the DLC items and characters.

that's why I couldn't get the squad goal yesterday I couldn't find a decent team at all

As the weekend operation closes to an end I would like to thank the players on gold for getting me through the missions having never played gold before it found it quite fun but will need alot of practice.

It was also good to see that most players on highier levels are helpful and unlike other online games i have played if your not having the best of days or being a little crap so far i have never seen players kicked from the game

Got to admit i tend not to say much when in game as i'm still getting used to online multiplay and gold was new experiance to me. i used to play l4d 1&2 and they where good fun but i really got put off playing fps games online since getting told i shouldnt be playing in a cod game one time.

This. I got mine on thursday evening few times. I wonder why it takes that long you would expect it to be a simple database update. It's not like they need to send some guy to your house to deliver it personaly or anything.

I know this feeling. However, after i had finished ranting at the game, i realized other squad mates had moved and i was the last one to see the dastardly things.

So frustrated... didn't finish gold. Every time I played I got the 'Lost connection' BS...11 times. 3 in the last round! WTF? Seriously, this is the shi% that makes me look for other places to spend my time.

Surely someone at Bioware can check the multiplayer discussion and catch a promlem like this.

We have had some form of confusion for nearly every event we have had because BioWare can't be clear on goals/times/whatever. This one alone had the ending time issue and the fact that full extractions were required for the community goal even though they weren't mentioned.

There has also been confusion in the past in regards to whether or not soloing counts, whether it counts if you join a game already in progress, what time the event starts since we seem to get the splash screen before the listed starting time, there was the issue a while back where the BioWare twitter person gave out incorrect information about the event that then had to be corrected here, etc.

They just have a rather obvious issue with clarity. For this specific one, all they had to do was edit the forum post to show the proper time, and change the community goal to say "full extractions" and it would have been fixed. The BioWare guys aren't stupid, as proved by their (mostly) great games, so I don't understand why it is so hard for them to do.

Most of the confusion hasn't really affected me much, but I still find it annoying because being clear isn't something that is hard to do. Hell, I would volunteer my services to proof-read and check for clarity on all future operation posts if I thought there was any chance of it happening.
