About the Operations, here's some interesting math ;
400,000 extractions if we are generous and say we have 3 successful runs per hour equates to us needing to put in about 133,333 hours. Or, 22,200 players pulling 6 hours each, and all 6 hours are successful runs over a one day (24hr) period.

Statistically, it looks do able but that assumes we have the pmayer numbers. Given that since its over roughly 3 days that means we needed roughly 7000 players with 6hours of successful runs over those 3 days.

Seems that either we didn't have the number of players or not enough put in the hours needed.

Frankly, the penalties for failure are at least as interesting as any perk. I imagine it's had to balance the goal towards some given chance (let's say x%) for allied success, but it is easy to balance x% of allied goals for almost sure failure and 100%-x% of allied goals for almost assured success.

They can't just go through past records and say "Well, they typically get 300K reaper full extractions in a given weekend, so we should set a goal of 400K" because it's very difficult t extrapolate what a concerted effort would yield instead.

Anyways, I still think the Ops and results to be bogus.

I assume they will still be giving out commendation packs for those who completed the squad goal,regardless of the outcome for the community goal?Just like Operation Silencer?

I personally think we did fail

Reason being that the squad goal is considered the hardest so far among all the events.So those bronze and silver regulars will be furiously banging their heads against the wall for the majority of the weekend just trying to achieve some sort of partial extraction to complete the squad goal.By the time they do, they might be too tired out or have little time left to actually go back to playing their usual bronze and silver matches where chances of full extractions are much higher. By the time I managed to complete the squad goal as the last man standing,I had already accumulated 700k from previous failed attempts.I would imagine the same too for the majority of the playerbase.Fustration and impatiance might have discouraged some from trying further altogether for the event.Don't forget that only the squad goal awards an N7 weap which I believe is more valuable to most people than a medi gel upgrade.

It would be nice if we could see our progress while an event is on, for all we know the Op was rigged from the start.

Someone created a thread asking why a counter could not be implemented.

A Bioware staff replied that it is not possible for them to do so even if they wanted to.Reason being that they only receive the data(I assume compiling only starts then) after the event ends.

I did over hundred full extractions. If we failed - screw it. No more grinding.

That's bull****, while playing we are constantly connected to one or more servers. The servers know if we live, if we die and how much credits we earn. Surely there should be a database with the number of times a level was played and on what difficulty. Add timestamps and you can see the number of extractions for any given date. Surely a time lag between a second and 24 hours, depending on the network setup.

At least, they could have implemented this in a patch long ago...

I have two ideas:

1. Specified goals (e.g. "one member of fully extracted squad must be from DLC - it must occure on Silver or Gold challange anainst any enemy", "we need 400.000 fully extracted squads, against any enemy on any difficulty" or something like that) - and that should be reminded clearly in operation welcome screen (for those who doesn't read forums or for example work a lot and only want to have some fun during weekend).

2. Operation Index. It would be nice to see on MP galaxy at war screen and in lobbys menu something like "Alliance Intelligance reports that about 320.000 missions were fully succesfull agains Reaper forces. Keep up the good work and remember that because of wide range of operations that information may not be fully precise" - the key to make it fun is to think for example of 3-10% bracket making it not easy to say if we already beat the operation but giving players some kind of measurable goal (i don't know the scale of gaming so I cannot say how much could real outcome differs from what High Command says, maybe it shoud be even 20%). I think it would mobilise more people to play as intended for operation (like with the Banshees - I didn't know if I should risk all the rockets to blow them up in 11th wave or something like that).

And that's all :)

I was in at least 5 squad extractions on reaper gold where we ha 3 or 4 squad members make it out. My personal goal was to do these as a quarian male or geth infil preferrably as the whole team. I know we did this several times. Those were the only classes and races I played all weekend. I know we busted out 20 or 30 bronze full extractions. I just think it hard to believe the community didn't make it.

It is unrealistic for them to say they cannot provide a real time counter.

Why don't we have the ability to see the op details in game after the first time?

WTH with no North American cities in new Earth content. Hackensack maybe?

Not anymore.  They did post an in-character thing from Admiral Hackett saying we failed but they pulled it shortly after.

Can't remember where I read it but I do remember someone saying in one of the threads that Jessica Merizan (the... community relations manager I think her title is?) said in a PM that they're "internally discussing how to proceed."  So between the guy that said that and me, it's now third hand hearsay.  Here, have a cup of salt.

its not only that you loose your equip.
if you rejoin a match you start it without your points and get nothing if you rejoin too late (you got  exp only, whats useless if you are max lvl).

what i wish is a timer that waits a few minutes for a disconnected player rejoining the match and where you have your points back.

also nice would be a notification on multiplayer login where you can directly rejoin a match were you disconnected from

and it's before 0700 in America. Bioware says it can take 24-48 hours for a result, and as late as Thursday to get your packs. Please be patient.

also over the weekend i got thrown into some random Gold games directly on wave 1 or 2 and even 3 and they were not Reapers nor farming Noveria/Glacier .. i ended up on Hydra with Geth for one. So obviously a number of players didn't care .


I must admit that i didn't care that much about the " full extraction on Reapers" goal . I've been doing mostly Gold to pile up credits for tomorrow and ifothers ahd the same attitude that could be another reason why the 400,000 number might not be met.

I was also put into a couple of Geth / Cerberus missions despite setting myself up only for reapers. It occasionally happens I know, but I expected almost everyone to be playing against the Reapers, just goes to show, when playing public lobbies with certain objectives for operations, create your own.

Do you remember that right before the Rebellion Pack, we failed an OP, and that was the excuse to release the new trainees (AKA, the Rebellion Pack - such as the Vorcha).

So don't act surprised when we get the mail from Admiral Hackett saying that we failed the OP, so "in order to boost our numbers we shall add to the fight some real N7 fighters".
All the new characters are N7 and human, so that makes sense...

That's it, then - the secret to defeating the Reapers is to keep failing these operations, so Hackett keeps having to produce more and more soldiers to fight the battles :P
