I still find it hilarious that Bioware continues to post mis-information to the public. This was not the first, second or even third time that Bioware failed to inform the community of the apporpriate goal. Worse yet, they (Bioware) invented the terminology of 'full extration' and 'lone survivor' yet seem incapable of using it correctly. "Squad extracts" is never once used in Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. The only thing failed about this event are Bioware's communication skills.
I wish that Bioware would improve their communication since updating/correcting their mistakes via twitter is not enough considering that the millions of players only use the in-game information as a basis for what the individual/squad and community goal is for an event. Sure, you can say I am being overly critical but, as I have noted, this trend continues to occur because of a lack of effort on Bioware's part to clarify the event goals properly. Never once was full extraction mentioned in-game for this event.
I totally agree. I personally see squad and think
everyone on the team must extract but I think at bare minimum they should have
clarified that full extraction on the Allied goal was a requirement. Several times when I was playing this weekend I had to convince my friends and randoms on PUG's that a full extraction was required and as you can expect I faced dubiousness quite often.
I'll continue to participate in future events because I think it is fun to have a challenge and nice to get a reward. I just hope that moving forward that Bioware attempts to give clearer information regarding those challenges.
I mean..when I played Halo..those challenges were EASILY defined, easy to check up on (your progress in said challenge etc) and nicely done. I wish Bioware would do something similiar.
Oh and it doesn't help that players lost connection to the EA servers <_<. Happened to me at least once on
wave 10.
