Why is it that you feel entitled to a Victory Pack, when by your own words in this thread, you would do the bare minimum to ensure a full extraction for your squad anyway? And judging by the threat* you made to BioWare staff a couple of pages back, I should probably report you. Yet, you can call me "the troll"? Whatever you're smoking, buddy, please send some along...

Not that it matters to the whiners, but I enjoyed this weekend. So did my buddy who is brand new to MP. We both read the operation and rightly assumed a "full extraction" was meant for the community goal. We both played Bronze PUGs and levelled his HAdept to 20 and HInfiltrator to 7, while managing 30-odd full extractions. We had a crapload of fun playing MP in our spare time over the weekend. We plan to have a lot more in future, even more when the whiners have all moved on to other places.

No one has received commendation packs yet. I don't get why people jump the gun so much without checking to see if they've even been released.

It was in this thread a few pages back, saying something that you had to play the 6 original maps, someone asked about hydra and was told it didn't count?

Always come here on BSN on the Tuesday/Wednesday after a operation. If there's people saying they already got it (there will be a lot of topics about it, about what they got in the pack), wait 24 hours. If you didn't got your pack yet, then you contact EA support, otherwise you will get the 48 hours answer. Take some time to the pack be released for the support to give us. If you contact then when they already got the pack, they will give it to you in less than a minute..

only thing I heard was that you need to extract (at least one person) on Gold playing the reapers. I played over 10 gold reaper maps over the weekend, and I didn't get a darn thing ...YET *NOTE, the new classes.... are AWESOME!! I only got the infiltrator chick, but she absolutely rocks on every level.

They expected to fight asari on Thessia, turians on Palaven, batarians on Khar’shan, but what they got was turian bombardments covering vorcha troops using human tactics in asari streets. It was perhaps due to this complexity that BROADSIDE did not go as planned. We sought a way to defeat a numerically superior ground force with little loss of life, but there was no sure strategy to adopt. When we innovate, our enemy adapts. Yes, we’ve seen losses, but a war worth fighting does not come without a cost.
 
Take inspiration in that. I know it is discouraging to fight for alien real estate when we have not yet taken the battle to your own homeworld. Operational secrecy prevents me from saying exactly when we will deploy and in what strength. All I can say to those who are waiting is one word:

This stinks.  The goal was totally unclear from the beginning as there are both full and partial extractions.  Hopefully they will do a better job with defining the goal with no confusion possible in the futue.  Simply saying "full extractions" in the operation description would have been much more clear.

Also an update at least once per day during the operation on how we are doing would be really helpful.  As is, I spent tons of games playing on bronze going for full extractions which turned out being a big waste of time as the operation failed anyway.  I could have been playing on gold and saving up for the new dlc.

I thought in army successful squad extraction means you have picked up the remnants of squad (alive and wounded, leaving bodies behind) after their mission and you don't loose your helicopter or whatever your extracting with in process. I think word "full" just before "squad extraction" changes it.

In the Army ( I was a Stinger ADA in the Army) Extraction is an Extraction. Means to extract - either with all or some of your squad depending. Per the GAME: "Squad Goal: Extract at least one squad member against Reapers on Gold difficulty" ...one person lives, can even be down, but if not dead or mission failed at level 11 - YOU WIN.

I have to say I saw people do a lot of cool things this weekend; from Blaznk who disconnected in the last few seconds of a gold match after getting magnet grabbed and instakilled by a banshee so we could have full extraction ( and losing his hard earned credits in the process-right before the Earth DLC was going to be released) to many friends helping out Bronze and Silver players make it through a Gold Reaper round. 
You guys are the best

Hopefully Bioware will be clearer in the future with the weekend goals.

My friends and I played gold and I believe we helped at least 20 people get a partial sometimes full extraction. After that we ran silver with full extractions. The fact that BW did not tell us full extractions only counted cannot be a good enough reason we failed. People were speed running and dying on wave 10 for the DLC. We should have had this operation durring July 4. but we didn't. I can name a few people who did this a certain cat and waffles comes to mind, jump in public games and die on purpose on wave 10. DLC and credits is the true reason we failed.

Got to admit, we seem to have this problem with almost every single operation. I honestly have to say I'm a bit, let's go with surprised, that the nebulousness of communications here haven't been factored in to everyone's thinking. Including Bioware's.

Was only able to complete one match in Gold this weekend to extraction. Don't remember if it was a full one. Played a ton of Silver and Bronze to full and partial extractions. Enjoyed the heck out of it and promoted 8 characters, in various classes, to start new ones. I saw a lot of people doing a lot of sacrificing for the squads I played on and did it myself numerous times. I appreciate everyone who I played with.

I appreciate these weekends. Lost credits and experience throughout the weekend, not just because of sacrificing for the team, but because the servers would drop us from them in rounds 9-11 and we would have to start over. I think the reason we lost Operation Broadside is because so many people lost connnections during matches this weekend, that all matches did not count. If I had completed all the ones I was in, we would have chalked up another 17 matches towards the goal, and that was just for me.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have made a difference if people knew the difference or not. There was a lot of people co-operating playing reapers to get the victory and commendation packs; I just think it was an unrealistic goal to have 400,000 full reaper extractions.

Saves time. Which is key if you want to do nothing but farm gold.
