My human noble did have a fling with Zev, too, though, before she settled down with Alistair, so while she has to block out mental images of Alistair with Morrigan, he'd have to block out images of ALL the partners Zev has had before...that's a LOT of lamp posts.

Indeed! Both he and Alistair are blond, after all; the kid wouldn't be too obviously not Alistair's.

Nah, his long life probably has to do with blood magic of his own. The potion gave you anti-demon skills. That is what he really worked on, not being rid of the taint or getting a long life.
