I know how to take screenshots using the "Print Screen" button, but have yet to figure out how to take a screenshot while a character is performing a finishing move on an Ogre or Dragon or even lopping off the head of a Darkspawn.  My apologies if this seems obvious, but I can't figure it out for the life of me.

Is my only option FRAPS?

Pause, use "v" to hide the interface and press "Print Screen"

Hmmm, and this can be done while a finishing move being performed? Is it just that "v" needs to be hit in order for it to work? I feel like a goober if it's that simple haha.

it works... the "v" is the default key to hide the interface... check your key bindings to make sure you haven't changed it.... I took a pair of screenshots slaying the archdaemon using that very method the other night.

Not only that, but you can ROTATE the shot while paused. I did it the other night while Leliana was climbing up an ogre with her dual daggers.

Thanks for the replies, but I'm still having issues. I've been trying to take a screenshot of my rouge decapitating some one, but even with "v" hit and the game paused, I still can't take a screenshot. The key bindings are correct too.



I can take a screen shot any other time, except during the slow motion scenes...

I've heard intel of some people having trouble with their 'Print Screen' button functionality. Sometimes, remapping screenshotting to another button (like F12) solved it, & sometimes, not. It might be worth a try.

When screenshots don't work, I minimize the game with ALT+TAB. When re-maximizing the game screenshots will work again - at least most of the time.
