Not bad! Something similar has been done with Megan Fox and Natalie Portman too (not by me)...

Keira Knightly has done the tough girl thing before. She'd make an excellent Jack if they ever made an ME2 movie.

Well, according to the fact that there will be a panel about the Mass Effect Movie at Comic Con, maybe the movie IS a reality. Let's hope they don't s*** up the sequel.

from the studios of the dark knight and the writer of I am Legend (screenplay) are on it.
I hope it's not screwed up.

simply just the VA to play their roles. I think many can pull it off

VA - Miranda
VA - David Anderson
VA - Admiral Hackett
VA - Liara
VA - The Illusive Man
VA - Diana Allers..............................................................................................................................

well you get the picture

While Lance Henriksen (Hackett), Keith David (Anderson) and Martin Sheen (TIM) are very good actors that can easily pull off a part in a bid budget Sci-Fi blockbuster, I don't know if the others can... especially people like Ali Hillis (Liara) or Yvonne Strahovski (Miranda) who never had a significant role in any Hollywood big production.

Besides, I'm all in for the rumored Liam Neeson as Saren in the first movie.

Liam Nesson rules man. Ra AL Ghoul - Bad****

and honestly - i really wish Christopher Nolan would Direct. He is my favorite director. Martin Scoresee and Spielberg arel all very good no doubt, but Nolan and his team (like David Goyer and his brother Jonathan) are experienced Filmakers when comes to these sort of genere IMO

but hey who knows,

obviously need a good shepard - be great Dicaprio filled the role. I think he can pull a good Commander if given the chance

Its a shame Nicholas Cage is such a terrible actor these days. With a shaved head he'd fit the look of Commander Shepherd pretty well. DiCapro wouldn't suit the look, he has a very unique face.

I'd actually Nominate Sam Rockwell for the role. He looks similar, and has the acting chops to back it up.

Mh... no, actually I don't think Christopher Nolan knows how to make a huge Sci-Fi like this works. His movies have so little humor and are always very down-to-earth... hell, he managed to make Dream Travelling look like something totally reasonable!

Not that I don't like him: he is a very talentful director, we just need someone else, someone who can understand when a joker is required, and the team dynamics. Joss Whedon really knows how write teams and Sci-Fi (cue Avengers and Firefly), but having him to direct is impossible, Disney will never let him direct a Legendary/Warner flick.

I think we might end up with a very less famous director, but I hope WB will make a good choice. Hell, put Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Zombieland) working on the script and then find a director that will add a serious touch: jackpot!

Nicholas Cage is more of an "instable" actor, you'll never know if he's gonna pull off a Leaving Las Vegas  or a Vampire's Kiss

I for one support Cage in Mass Effect, but maybe as a secondary character...

Saren should be done like how Gollum was in LoTR. Have some one do the body work and then have Sarens original VA do the voice acting. heck they did that with Darth Vader, with James Errel (sp?) Jones as the voice.

I think they should just animate the entire movie. Mostly because aliens are always CGed so badly when put up against real human counterparts. There is a crap load of aliens in ME.

That's why Mass Effect has the unique opportunity to bring back the great Make-Up Artists and create a beautiful Universe without the usual ****load of CGI. I really hope they will use physical costume for people like Turians and Krogans, the results would be astounding.

And if you don't believe me, look at movies like The Hitchinker's Guide To The Galaxy or the latest Men In Black: 90% of the FXs are animatronics and costumes and the movie looks a lot more "solid" that overCGI'd crap like Transformers 3.

I agree with Jonata on this.

Back when Star Wars IV-VI , they all used talented costumes artists and craftsman. It was done very well. Star Wars I - was overloaded with CGI and the movie was awful. Just like the overload with Transformer movies. It's ridiculous.

That's why I like Chris Nolan cause he understands this balance. Joss Whedon from the Avengers Movie was great director, I would love to see him direct ME1 Movie. He too seems like a guy who too knows the balance with CGI.

Logan Marshall-Green would make a great Shepard. Especially with his look from Prometheus.
