What's the incentive to buy the DLC, when we know the game ends the way it does?

same reason there was with DA:O and ME2.....

but as ive stated in other threads....im soooo apprehensive about purchasing the Leviathan of Dis dlc.... ASSUMING IT IS REAL. it sounds like utter bunk.

i would love DLC related to Omega and the Citadel Invasion though.

The incentive? more ME and expansion/augmentation of ME3's story.

Here is a twitter from Chris, take it as you will, but it sounds like it is confirmed.
[EDIT:] I just found this on the web and do not have a twitter personally. I am not sure if this is actually his twitter or not.

I knew how ME2 ended before buying Shadow Broker. That was never the problem.

That's because ME2 actually has a satisfying ending unlike ME3.

Exactly. THAT is the problem. ME and ME2 leave me asking for MOAR! ME3 doesn't.

It's pretty sad that space kid had to show up and steal the show. In order to buy DLC I would have to do mental gymnastics and erase him from my memories after each playthrough.

The omega dlc and the Leviathan of Dis dlc will only satisfy people who like the ending or people who ignore the ending but both seem like a waste of time to me.

I will probably watch Leviatan of DiS on youtube. If it has no time with ME2 squadmates and continues the linear reduced dialog crapola from ME3 I won't bother buying it. I can barely play ME3 itself as it is.

If it has ME1 / ME2 style dialog wheel and Role Play then I might buy. I am still missing a proper farewell to the series. ME3 wasn't it. Hopefully one of the DLCs will bring it.

Well it's all pointless.

It's like reading a plot synopsis of a film and then trying to watch it. It's not as fun when you know all the characters just die at the end.

Because all the characters die in ME3 at the end, wtf?!?

Gawd, you people are ridiculous.

On topic, incentive? Believe it or not some people do want more ME3. Shocking, I know. :o

If you are so hung up on the ending that you can't enjoy the rest of the game, then there is obviously nothing there for you. For those of us who can still enjoy the game, it adds more to the experience.

The experience of flying a plane into the side of cliff and it adds more like eating some cupcakes and drinking DR Pepper but ya stil going to fly into that cilff but atleast it adds more.

Agreed. No Incentive whatsoever. This is purely a money grab from Bioware in my opinion.

DLC can increase or create the incentive by itself if it looks promising. I don't like space kid but I like tuchanka. You offer me another tuchanka, that's probably something I'm going to buy.

Idc how good the dlc is if they just completely flip the game board in my face in the end still.

It's not shocking. Just really, really depressing.

It's people like you that allow companies like BioWare to get away with the shit they've pulled so far (and I'm sure there's more to come). It's people like you who, ultimately, cause stagnation; there can be no progress without conflict.

the only incentive to buying DLC for ME3 is that it gives the plyer an opportunity to mix something into the linear story that is ME3.

ofcorse, thats if you even want to play the other parts of the game anyways.

hmm, id "like" more mass effect, but ive gotten to the point where i dont need it. i post on this forum a hell of a lot more then i play the game, and im rarely posting around here as is.

ill miss you mass effect.

Imagine, if you will, that during the Matrix, Keanu Reeves and company never fought using any advanced fighting techniques or special powers all the way up to the final chase to that telephone. Then, Agent Elrond tells him that he deserves a fair fight, and downloads all the Kung Fu crap into Neo's head. Then proceed as usual, "he IS the One!" If you're going to have these moments of importance, they need to have a proper buildup, whether DEM'd or normal stories.

I guess that makes the Oracle the Leviathan.

Weren't you banned already?

Oh and, whatever, go ahead and depress yourself to death. I'll go enjoy that "sh*t".

Ya nailed it Femlob but its sad that folk will allow Bioware and now the Dead space 3 team at viseral to get away with their bull.

Because some people like to know what happened n some of the situations outside of the game that we read about. Some of us love characters outside of the main cast, and didn't like that most of them only got 3 minute cameos.

If you don't want to buy DLC, then don't buy it. But different strokes for different folks. I, for one, would love to see some DLC. It would be fun. But not everyone finds the same things fun. And that's okay. :3

The way that question is phrased implies that getting banned is something I should be afraid of. Why? Possibly because you'll report me, which may lead to my getting banned again? I don't know, and I don't give a shit in any case.

I fail to find that statement relevant. The question was, what is the incentive. The answer is because there are people out there who would love DLC. Calling Bioware out on their crap is unrelated. Sounds like you are just fishing up an excuse to complain.

Lol. Are you a teenager by chance? You won't let them off the hook? I'm sure they're quivering in their boots. A teenager comes to the foums everyday to complain (most likely because he has nothing better to do in he summer) about vdeo games and his first world problems of not liking how it ended. He doesn't have the gusto to redirect tht passion onto better things, like you know, the community. But he's really making a difference by making this company top of his hit list.

Oh boy. You keep it up sir.

There is none, for me at least. I'm not interesting in missions that take place during the war and I don't care about additional lore because the endings were such a disappointment.
