What's the incentive to buy the DLC, when we know the game ends the way it does?

once again....no reunion, no purchase. But we all know Bioware, especially Mac and Casey, could not care less as they got what they wanted

I regret it.

I feel I have been setup for a fall. The ending is atrocious and the little slide show and a faint breath didn't fix it. To add insult to injury the FemShep LI area is outrageous.

ME3 only has lesbian pairings if you didn't guess which male LI Bioware would not give the middle finger to. They created a character for the heterosexual female audience and then killed it. We complain about it and the answer we get is "his death was epic, get over it". Another hetero male LI just cheats on you and your Shepppard only dialog option is to beg and grovel for a kiss. We get chastised by Kaidan for "cheating" and there is no dialog wheel to flip him the bird. Male Sheppard gets no such sermon from Ashley. Hetero female gamers were sold out by the ME3 guys wanting to add EDI's ****** and lots of girl on girl action for the teenage fanboy.

I hate that I let myself get into a story made by people who have such low consideration for their female fans.

But I will buy a good story centered DLC specifically BECAUSE of the time I spent on ME2, because I don't want to regret the time I spent playing it and enjoying the story, I want a better "goodbye" to the ME universe. If a DLC can give me that, I won't feel so cheated.

I knew how ME2 ended before buying Shadow Broker. That was never the problem.

That's because ME2 actually has a satisfying ending unlike ME3.

Exactly. THAT is the problem. ME and ME2 leave me asking for MOAR! ME3 doesn't.

^This. I get that people do really like/love the game, even the endings...or even hated the endings but still love the game and want to see more. And that's perfectly okay with me. Even if I disagree with folks' reasons for liking the endings or  thinking the game is a 10, while I find it a 7/8 in my opinion, if they find a DLC interesting and want it, I say smack BioWare upside the head with a stack of bills and play that DLC to death. Image IPB

But right now, for me I feel no real connection to the story, so buying and playing through DLC contained within that disconnect is not something that interests me. Will I forever feel this way? I don't know, but I still haven't even felt motivated enough to buy the From Ashes DLC yet...so as it stands, none for me thanks.

I hope the next DLC character does at least get his own slide in the ending, not like Javik...

Oh, and he gave the memory shard of his people to pretty much the only person who does not come back from the last mission... damn primitives.

You know, I forgot about that.  And yeah, yet another stupid part about any of the endings.

some folk were happy with the original ending remember?

Also Mac and Casey are obviously happy and proud to have sustained a gruelling session of Q&A with Jessica in which they answered all the hard questions and whatnot

The problem is that ME3's DLC, last I heard is going to take place pre-Priority: Earth.

What was great about ME2's DLC was that they weren't shoehorned into the main story.  You could do it anytime you wanted, both before or after the suicide mission. In fact Arrival (story-wise) fit best post-suicide mission imo and set the game up perfectly for the start of ME3.  They were extra pieces of content that complimented the main story.

The difference now is that this DLC won't compliment the main story; it will be part of the main story.  It has to be done pre-Priority:Earth.  Furthermore, it won't affect the ending as well, as Bioware has posted several times now that the EC is their "definitive" vision of the ending to ME3.

They added one lesbian option, along with one gay option. If any demographic is imbalanced, it's the straight male one; everyone else just has two options. so it's balanced except for that one area.

Allers doesn't get the Paramour achievement and doesn't count. Kelly does, marginally, but never comes back to the Normandy and is a vestigial presence at best.
