Good player, not picky (I won't get mad if I see a novice)... Sometimes I'm on a killing spree, others on a dying spree
In gold, I use a lot the Turian Sentinel and Batarian Soldier

Don't get so concerned about bosses that you ignore the more mobile units like marauders and cannibals. They will tear you up real fast if you don't pay attention to them.

Was this your reaction to the upcoming weekend event? "Oh great, Gold... and Reapers, isnt that super." Then this thread is for you! I am extending an olive branch from the more experienced players that are ready, willing and patient enough to help others with this challenge. If you are willing to help this weekend and arent annoyed by people asking you questions on play styles, character class builds, etc; please leave your gamertag here so that less experienced players can join in the fun and participate in the gold challenge! I am asking that veterans only leave gamertags and platform they play on, less experienced guys are more than welcome to leave feedback and comment, but if you would like to recieve help I am asking that you actively get it by seeking out a GT listed on the thread. I hope this idea works! Good luck...

I don't care what N7 level you are, if you want to join my gold lobby just remember to pack a gun which can hurt gold lvl enemies and you'll do fine.

I'm not going to say I can carry the whole team, but I can hold my own on gold. If I can get one or two other experienced players you are MORE than welcome Ithis is my general policy anyway...all are welcome. I only ask that you have a mic and listen... don't get upset if we recommend you change your tactics...and if you don't have one, you pay attention and follow our lead. Use your good gear and consumables. Don't hoard or waste rockets or gels (if you have a mic we can help you know when to use those too if you need). Most important thing is don't get upset if we recommend you do something different than you're doing in game (don't wander off mainly)
Let's get everyone an n7 weapon this weekend

I'm down to run with people. I'm likely to be running on Saturday during the day on PC. I'm new to Gold, but fairly competent at it most days (I almost always top Public Silvers now, and usually don't end last in Gold). I'm usually no good for hosting, though. Origin ID is AnubisTPF.
I understand you know who Zjarcal is? If so, I played with you and Zjar yesterday and you're better than you give yourself credit for. Origin ID's Lathrim.
Yup, that was me. Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. I've only gotten to play with Zjarcal a couple of times though. More's the pity. But I can't complain, between BE and the Old folks groups, I'm getting a pretty strong group of friends to play with most any time I get on.

Like other groups, target the minions first. Husks and Canibals. Also drop those blasted Ravagers when you get the chance, and try to avoid or clean up the Swarmers. I also like to pack something with an AP mod or AP or Warp ammo for these, or both. It helps make short work of the Brutes and Ravagers and speeds along the Banshees as well. Also, armored Canibals become a non-issue.

If some more experimented players are available, I'd actually enjoy trying some training runs even before the week-end to get a feeling of gold. I'm at the stage where I do have several characters performing alright in silver, but my gear seemed a bit weak to consider Gold, most of my weapons are still rather low level beyond the starting ones. (and those premium specter packs take a while to get when playing silver, especially to unlock extra character customization :/)

When I see that on Silver we are swarmed with Banshees and Brutes during the extraction and barely make it out alive I am amazed some people manage to survive in Gold...
Thats why you stay out of the LZ until the last 15 seconds. draw them away from the LZ and run around alot. no point in killing things cause they spawn right back.

I'm one of the community members who just can't survive a Gold match without a supportive and patient team but have done so more times than not with a little help from my friends.
I save my best consumables for when I have the opportunity to join in a Gold match. I listen to advice, change character and/or load-out if asked, and work with the team; it's the least I can do to show my appreciation.
There are a number of BSN posts with good information for new or casual players. Here are two:

Live in New Zealand with all that entailks: time zone, connection speed, stability, etc
I've only three-manned with friends, so for people who are new I'd prefer a full team (I can sort that out) otherwise they will likely find it too stressful.

Since objectives seem to be where most teams die.........
Remember, enemies will endlessly respawn during pizza and trigger objectives. Using a cobra to wipe out a mob may seem like a good idea, but it may not be the best option. The mob you just blew up are only going to
respawn with full health. Three people drawing the enemy AWAY from the trigger or package, while one person completes the task seems to work much better, at least in my experience. If you see 3 or 4 players run to the pizza, it usually is going to be rough.
Infiltrators don't need "cover fire" for triggers....you are not helping by standing over him/her. If they are spec'd for duration, they shouldn't have any problem sneaking around and getting to the triggers.
Hack objectives; if the team is getting decimated in the circle, don't be afraid to get out and draw some aggro away from the circle. Sometimes just one person outside the circle is enough of a relief to let the other 3 hold it. Just make sure you are drawing aggro.
Target objectives; if you chase down and kill the first target fast (cobra), the next three are usually easier targets. If you get it on wave 10, players tend to just cobra all 4 targets.
These won't work in every situation, but they have worked for me most of the time.
