I'd like to say huge thank you to iampaynetrayne for starting this thread and to all who participated. It was really cool to hang out with the pros for the weekend. Regardless what the actual reward will turn out to be, the journey itself was more than rewarding.

I would just like to add my support to this. I play randoms (being too old to have xbox friends......), but found all the advice very useful. Finished (with full extraction) a gold reaper mission on Dagger Saturday morning GMT with 2 other random N7 600's and a 1200. Used an Asari adept with Hurricane 1. Then spent rest of the weekend doing random silver reaper missions to make some headway on the community goal.
Definitely wouldn't have had the nerve to go gold without this thread, but will now definitely start periodically pitting myself against golds. Thanks to everyone who posted to this thread!!!
