 Dear bioware!

I like the original endings of  the game, is there a way to go back to them after i have downloaded the EC DLC?

Sonce i didn't know the amount and nature of changes you were going to implement, and since all the DLC has added is additional clarity and context, which i consider not needed and exsessive I feel that there should be the way to disable the extended cut, like with DVDs where you can watch the EXTENDED CUT of the film if you wish, but still have an option to watch the original theatrical release of the movie.

Though i understand that with the actual game content (cut scenes and additional dialoge) you probably added some technical files like game fixes and polishes, additional files to ease implementation of upcoming DLC etc, i still weel that there should be an actual button alowwing you to chose which cut of the game to expirience.

Wold really like a comment on the issue, by some one from bioware, mod or dev,

Thank you.

Just delete/uninstall the EC...how hard can that be? Takes a whole 30 seconds.

ROFL at the "original, theatrical" comment......actually that would be called the garbage cut. :wizard:

on the xbox you could probably delete the EC dlc and the latest title update and the game shud load [new saves] without the EC content. the game works on XBL without EC, was playing recently with someone that didnt download it

that's the thing - there is no option to do so. Origin support confirmed it.

would really like advice how to do so if it is possible.

Meh....Origin and EA customer support, that's what you get for dealing with them.....though I honestly see no reason why you'd want to see the original crap ending.

How very curious.

What happens if you delete/move BIOGame/DLC/DLC_CON_END?

Edit to add: Is having a single 2GB file really the most efficient way of doing things?

Well I can only think of two things....

1) Uninstall everything and reinstall the game by itself without EC.

2) YouTube

I don't  know about Origin, I play on 360 where it's all too easy, same with PS3....plus other PC games I've played usually had easy uninstall/delete options for DLC.

If you're on xbox just go to game add-ons from the main menu and delete the content. If you're on PC you might have to uninstall the game, but before you do you should save your backups do a different area and then just restore them when you do a clean install.
As others have said though, I can't believe that you'd want the original endings. Image IPB

when you do that (option 1) - you are not given a choice what to install and what not to  - it just installes everything again.

I highly doubt that the EC will be reinstalled unless it automatically installs all updates too, which no program that I know of does on install.

I deleted the folder, and the game doesn't notice... yet.

unfortunatly i'm not on my home PC, so i really don't have any saves to test if the game still works at all at the endings. If someone could share a preending save file for me to test it, i would be very gratefull.

You could move the folder and run Origin in offline mode for SP, and replace it for MP...

I don't see why you would ever want to see the originals.
To get rid of the EC (at least for playstation) your going to have to reinstall all the games data then reinstall without downloading the EC. Your other alternative is to view it on youtube.

After all this time. And after all their hard work to please the majority of the fans(Since you cannot please everyone no matter what your line of work is or your marketed product)...What you desire is to delete their hard work...Just in my opinion you are even worse than we the ones who wanted a "new" resolution(s) or something very different than the original endings. If you were satisfied with the original endings then EC should not have even been on your radar. If EC is "such" a problem to you then just reinstal the game+patches and avoid The EC.I just see your post as a p*ss in the wind, you want to get wet.Just my 2 worthless cents.

i suppose it does belong in the tech forum... If any mods read this, please mobve the thread to PC tech forum.

And no, deleting the game data and reinstalling the game does not work, since origin will just dawnload it again without asking, already tried. (it will just ask to choose the language) if you push cancel it will just ask to choose the language again.
