Hm... Interesting.

So many N7 weapons, and still no bloody valkyrie. I. Will. Punch. A. Little. Brother.

Still, that machine gun looks like a death-bringer. I'm hoping to see it function as a ME2 Revenant (Awesome damage and brilliant maximum accuracy, but a terrible minimum accuracy). The pistol looks unusually like a Disciple, and the other weapon looks like a M-100... wierd...

As for the classes themselves. I feel a little cheated. All the women get the awesome assassins, all we get is the awesome shield-man. Nonetheless, those are some awesome new combat features and with the addition of a new difficulty, I feel that things will be getting a lot more interesting in the coming days.

I also feel really bad for one specific Bioware member, one who will have his work cut out because of this massive new update. Sorry Eric, I feel for you and your immense platter of balance changes in the future.

well we did get the phoenixes last DLC

and we got the Engineer which will chuck grenades at spawn points to train at the olimpics and the destroyer with his armor and his...rocket launcher...>:D, and the Slayer which looks like kai'lengs cousin

For all of you claiming everything to be ultra-rare because of N7 marks...

These guys are N7 OPERATIVES which is why they have N7 marked on their damn armor. And the new N7 weapons are made for them. This does not mean that all characters are going to be UR, maybe the weapons though.

Sometimes I wonder...

Which brings about something interesting lore wise, going by what you're saying. From the Mass Effect Wiki:

The highest grade of training, N6, provides actual combat experience in combat zones throughout the galaxy. If the trainee survives these scenarios in "admirable and effective fashion," he or she finally receives the coveted N7 designation. N7 is the only ICT designation that may be worn on field or dress uniforms. "

So... legitimate rank and file N7 officers have finally decided to join the fray in these tier of operations? That would certainly lend some credence to their gameplay if they were "overpowered", balance issues notwithstanding.

You are aware that, actually, there is a difference between working for stuff instead of grinding credits endlessly to hope to get what we want?

To the guy mentioning recycled models. Of course they would do that! It makes sense for them to take an existing model and change it instead of making a new one.

They look diff enough that i didn't even notice, and i usually pick up on that. For instance (this isn't a graphic model or anything but still applies), the male quarian's voice i am preeeeetty sure is just a voice changed female.

I know right? They complain about wanting more characters with different powers, and they are about to get it. But now they complain about outfits and how some of them look recycled??! Just no pleasing some people...

Remember, multiplayer, in the end, is some what connected to the lore, so adding somethiong completly new in the multiplayer would require BioWare to make new missions/enemies in the singleplayer

Debateable depending if bioware sees me3 as a stand alone title not requireing me2 or me1

Also the female engineer looks like a cross between infiltrator and soldier. I dunno it is just extremely logical and rational to use existing models and build on them. I think the new models look great too lol.

Also the normandy.. i am sure they just took the me2 normandy and small things!

Also maybe u weren't complaining and u wrre just mentioning.. i just glanced it really quick and i juat woke up earlier than i shpuld have haha

It's not so much instant gratification as eventual gratification.

I've still not got a quarian male engineer. Only got a vorcha sentinel in the last week or two. Basically fine with it, I'm happy with what I've got, and I've got enough diversity and a big enough share of what's available that I'm getting plenty of enjoyment out of the game and still have plenty more to strive for.

I could, however, very plausibly go months without seeing an ultra-rare character. And the idea of getting excited about a DLC, saving up credits, building up the anticipation, only to spend the next four weeks watching other people having fun with it while I keep getting Scorpion upgrades is kind of not appealing in the slightest.

Not that I'd say with any confidence that I think they will be ultra-rare. But given the way they're pushing the emblem, it's certainly more plausible than I thought it was two days ago.

You are aware that, there is a difference between common (what a lot of people will have) and Ultra Rare (What only a few people will have).

You do know that the last DLC came out about 6 weeks ago right?
So is it really reasonable to think you should have everything unlocked by now?

How much do you play per day?
How many packs have you bought?

Yes, I do know.  I saw the leaks and own both of them.

However, past performance is NEVER indiciative of future results.

But we shall see on July 17th. <_<

And all those multiplayer games in the past that had no progression systems whatsoever were complete junk! How did we ever manage to enjoy games without constant grind for all the shiny unlocks? Playing for fun? Lol, go back to the 90s you hippie you.

I don't like the more traditional unlock systems, but at least in those you are working towards a fixed goal to get what you want. In ME3 you work towards the next retardedly low chance to get what you want. This is not fun and not once have I felt satisfaction when I finally get something that I wanted, because it's by pure chance. Thankfully the gameplay is still very enjoyable.

Never caught that, but then again I could hardly see the pictures in the squad selection screen (more concerned with stat bonuses any way). Although now I'm more inclinded to say that the Kaiden alternate outfit is a slightly altered Combat Engineer (or vice versa) in the same way that the AT-12 Raider, Wraith, Eviscerator and Crusader are all the same gun with slight differences, the Paladin is a modified Carnifex, the Eagle is a modified Phalanx, the Argus is a modified Mattock and etc. (I know the description for weapons reveals why they look alike).

Like the real M16 rifle, M4 carbine and AR-15 rifle are "the same gun with slight differences", and X35 and F22 are "the same jet with slight differences". The similarities have parallels in real world military. Form follows function - if it works, don't fix it (much).

Seriously though, there's a great amount of visual designs done for the ME series. Of course some of them will be reused, but weapons still have enough character to be instanty recognizable even if sharing the same frame. Second, similarity of some designs creates familiarity ("oh, this looks like an asari/human-made/turian weapon").

Third, like I said - there's the same thing going on with modern military, so it actually make sense in-universe that a successful weapon design is iterated upon rather than scrapped and built from scratch.

I know there's a tendency for players to demand completely NEW STUFF all the time, complete with skeletons, models and skins, but it's really unfeasible. Even disregarding the cost and time issues on developing completely new stuff... Kaidan's armor is a variant of Systems Alliance light armor - it makes *sense* that the same design used by the Earth military would be used for an N7 engineer, and that Cerberus would use a variant of it as well (given their roots as the Alliance black ops, besides what's good enough for N7 must be good enough for them).

As I said, I realize that there is a good reason they look alike (they are modified versions of the same gun so it's not like they are going to be massively different), but to be THAT similar is rather odd (some might even call "lazy") for a sci-fi game with some nice varied art (like you said, being able to see the vast difference between a Phaeston and an Avenger).

I just wish when there is this type of shared resources that we get some significant differences instead of the boots being kind of different and this one has shoulder guards. The Argus and Mattock are essentially the same gun, but the difference to body really sells that they are different guns with the same base. The Carnifex and Paladin are literally the same gun except the Paladin is white and black and the Carnifex is grey and orange. That is the kind of thing I don't like.

It might make sense that the Demolisher, Combat Engineer and Kaiden have the same armor (actually it makes a lot of sense), but when you factor in the fact that the Demolisher has a Supply Pylon (sounds similar to the Shield Pylon that Cerberus troops use, but this is going just on name at this point) and that the Demolisher is the ENGINEER class, it really makes it seem like a lazy rip off of the Combat Engineer.

Still perhaps you shouldn't doubt someone so quickly when they have been giving reliable information also I think bioware likes the hype so perhaps they don't go out of their way to really lock the files

You guys...complaining about awesome new free content.
Maybe you should take a break from the Internet for a little bit..

I also hope all the characters are Ultra Rares, making it something special to get to team up with them.

(also because i would like to drink the tears of teenage rage that will follow on these forums)

Well avoiding then endless rage lol but yeah if the classes are truely powerful ultra rare makes sense wether it annoys people or not

It would be terrible, since the more Ultra rare you have, the harder is to get them. It would be 30 new ultra rares unlocks. Plus, it would fail miserably as something to call back people that already gave up on the MP, and new players that didn't gave attention to the MP yet, since would be a hell to actually play with the new chars.

probably one weapon will be ultra rare, but I hope not. There's too much UR items already.

Doubt something on the Internet?!?  Sorry, you are correct.

Oh and I know of this Nigerian prince that will send you $10 million, if you can only send him $5K upfront to release it from the bank.  Would you like his email?

Well they are n7 and each classes looks more powerful for that class type wether people like it or not it probably will be a ultra rare and I have no problem with that just means got work harder for the goal of getting truely powerful characters hell I'm even surprised they didn't make the kroguard a ultra rare
