Well they're all humans with helmets, disappointing but not unexpected.

But on the bright side, Bioware seems to go through old armors/clothes to make new classes. Even though some would yell cheap, I think it's great, a lot of other races have cool armors to go through, hopefully they just made humans now to get them over with.

Or we'll be bombed with humans forever, I can never figure Bioware out. :P

If they offer new powers or playstyles then why does it matter if they're humans or not?

Not everyone thinks "gameplay is the only thing that matters", I know it's multiplayer but I still see RPG elements and I'd rather play with actually interesting species than another human with a helmet. But I know the current fanbase doesn't care about that stuff. Which is fine, I just hope those people never affect ME singleplayer, that would suck. "what does it matter if the main character is always human?"

But really atleast these are somewhat unique, and as I said I think they're going through armor design in all 3 games, which could have some interesting results.

The biggest RPG aspect for me is unlocking new classes and trying to spec out different builds. It'd be cool if there were new non-humans, but as long as these are unique (rather than exactly-the-damned-same-except-for-one-move Rebellion characters), this'll be fun.

They finally announced on the blog!!!

This part is legitimately disappointing:

"The new weapons, characters, and equipment are available as rewards inside existing Reinforcement Packs."

No ultra-rare packs, then.

Actually they don't say if the new classes are going to be common, rare or ultra-rare. Just that we'll need to buy some sort of packs to get them. I bet there's going to be a weekend event where you'll be guaranteed to unlock at least one the new classes.

Yeah, but regardless, there was some speculation of new "platinum packs," and that seems to imply that there won't be. Hoping they're not URs, since that would mean UR weapons are harder, but I guess we'll see.

Personally think half of those character models look terrible.

I just noticed that the Fury has Dark Channel, which is awesome.

I actually think it'll be fairly worthless in the MP. Basically, you can slow a single enemy and do a very small amount of damage over time. It's like pull with the damage over time path, but it works on shielded enemies,  and it doesn't render them at all helpless.

Also, IIRC, detonating it with biotic explosions stops it, so it'll basically make some of the mooks slightly stronger before they get shot to death, jump to a new enemy, and ultimately, since it slows them down, make the enemy you're hurting the least threatening.

Pre-emptive hate FTW!

Dark Channel jumps to a new enemy even when you detonate it.  I assume they will nerf it somehow, but that is how it works in SP and that is why it is so OP.  If it is implemented as is, it will be the best biotic ability in the game.

I want that Engineer, that Sentinel, and that Infiltrator. Anyone else think that the Sent may be restricted on weapons?

That dude is in a HORRIBLE position. Atlad, Guardian, Phantom behind him, one in front ready to instakill... someone's 'bout to get pwned.

Look at this... looking baddass in a sword fight.
Heavy Risk... but the praise.
I want all I can get.

The n7 phantom would be cool with a raptor. Deadly at all ranges and palm blasting. I wonder what the next DLC will be?

I must have been using it VERY wrong in the SP. Seriously, when people are saying here, that you can detonate it, it'll still switch, and you can detonate AGAIN, makes it seem really badass. The actual damage for it is still pretty meh, though.

It jumps when the enemy is killed while dark channel is active. So not really that great vs banshees/ atlas etc. unless DC has a short cooldown.

:o I.....I can finally play as a phantom?! BioWare, I love you.:wub::wub:

Wonder if the new guns will be any good? It would be really nice to get an AR that did some damage AND carried enough ammo so you wouldn't have to squat on an ammo box to use it. ^_^

The damage is not really noticable, but the BEs are rediculous.

In SP I almost was able to just spam BEs with Throw until it landed on a Banshee/Prime/Atlas.

My favorite class with a usable AR. I think I might explode.

I don't know about that. Reave is instant speed, AoE with up to 40% DR against two-thirds of the enemies. Its pretty damn strong. The only problem with it is the classes that actually have it can't detonate it easily (cluster grenades, bubble are very good but not exactly very practical). They are also very few powers able to detonate multiple BE's at the same time (most AoE biotics are limited to 1 explosion).

The problem-if problem there is-lies not with DC itself but the fact that the fury will have throw alongside it. Can you imagine what the DA could do with reave + throw? Reave 3 marauders-throw-throw-throw for 3 BE's would be ridiculous...

The new mission sounds fun, I wonder if the agent is allowed to go down. If so, may be a missile eater.

New In-Mission Objective – Randomly occurring during waves 3, 6 and 10, this new objective will challenge teams to keep a targeted agent alive by protecting and escorting them to a designated extraction zone on each map

I wonder If the N7 Slayer aka phantom would use normal wepons or only use the sword and the palm blaster.

Paladin? Seriously? WTFITS, WoW?

Yeah, World of Warcraft...

Should have kept the Halo naming theme they were going with. Name the Infiltrator  "The Pelican", "Spirit" or "Tuning Fork" (Hey, Cerberus has Phantoms)

Paladin should get an ability known as "Tuning Fork of Justice"

Which also happens to be a sword in WoW. Or at least that's what we call it(I don't remember the actual name of it).
