Leviathan Story DLC Confirmed

Why not wipe out the rest of the cutscenes of the game then, and only have combat?
It would be a totally missed opportunity if they didn't show a consequence of doing the DLC in the final mission, which makes most sense to be done via a cutscene showing the inclusion of your new allies from the DLC (if we do get new allies, that is).
If the DLC added in something which entirely changed the ending, rather than expanding on it, then there would be a massive outcry over having to pay for a new ending.
Can you honestly say that you would want to download this DLC and -not- have it impact the finale in some way?

Everything you do in the base game amounts to nothing why would a cutscene from this DLC change that? the ending will be the same no matter what possible crappy DLC they release and all will amount to NOTHING.

That renders any discussion rather moot then. You enjoy believing what you will, I will too.

Who gives a monkeys what it amounts to? If I get to shoot more stuff up that's all I want in DLC.
Pinnacle Station and Project Overlord amounted to nothing but people still bought that.

I do not understand this line of thought. "Amounted to nothing?" Does every DLC have to contribute in a major way to the main story? Of the two you referred to, I only played Project Overlord, but that was just a fun standalone narrative, a story of "man's reach exceeding his grasp," with a choice of two resolutions at the end. I don't see the problem with singleplayer DLC like that.

ME1 and ME2 had satisfying endings that made you want more mass effect more time to spend in the universe ME3 on the other hand does not and with a crappy ending like ME3 has why the hell would i want to waste time in this ruined universe bioware butchered? all ME3 DLC will be nothing but a waste of money and useless war assets that lead to 4 of the same trash endings.

Good thing not everyone feels like you do about the endings. Even better, buying the DLC is completely optional.101ezylonhxeT wrote...

Oh snap more useless EMS points w000t!
The point is to enhance the story, not add EMS points...
The DLC will most likely add EMS points that will end up changing nothing at the end of the game.
I'll repeat what they said, its about the story, not the ems.
A pointless story that will change nothing and insult people who don't like the ending with the liara and co having useless optimism about being able to beat the reapers which does not happen in 2 of the 3 endings.
Oh look, someone who bashes the whole game because the ending upset them.

Does anyone else feel like this is just another way to promote synthesis? For people who want to pick destroy rogue Reaper might become something they don't want to destroy and for ones wanting to control rogue Reaper ruins the ending by the fact that Reapers can rebel against Shepard/Catalyst.

The whole idea of a 'rogue' Reaper is definitely baffling/disappointing at first impression, so here's hoping there's more to it than that.
Most likely will act superior to organics, and according to the leak, at one point decides to mess with your head. I guess it will obviously have its own agenda.

Maybe... but it's not going to change the ultimate outcome of the game, now is it?
As must as I want SP DLC, I just can't muster up the same excitement about it.

Enough said. Truth be told, this sounds way more exciting than the not so secret Retake Omega DLC.

Ok enough is enough. We understand that you are upset Bioware did not meet your expectations. But stating that on every single thread is redundant. I respect your right to say it but I mean it really is time to move on. Bioware is creating an experience just like they have done with all DLC's. No matter if the ending was fantastic it still wouldn't change the fact that the DLC wont change it or add to it. I hate saying it as I was part of the retake ME movement but its time to grow up and move on...
I agree... It sounds like thousand little babies crying for mommy. Get over it.

Overlord, Arrival and LotSB are all still a lot of fun, even though they don't change a whole lot. Play it for the experience.res27772 wrote...

I really hope Leviathan has a mobile platform like Legion or EDI and actually joins us as a full blown party member.
Not sure if he will fit into the cargo bay for conversations;)
Nice to see some extra content, but I'm just wishfully thinking that it will be free...I'm sure there will be another three or four worthwhile DLC after this one, but I'm getting burned out on paying $40 additional to get a complete game. Don't mind so much when I paid $5-10 for the previous games as that works out to be around the same as the original price.

Where I come from, the above assortment of chocolate coins, chocolate gold bars, strawberry sweets and blueberry sweets don't count as legal tender.
I wish Woolworths was still around. I loved their pick n' mix

I think the DLC is supposed to provide some background on the creation of the Catalyst and the Reapers. I've read the Leviathan might be the very first Reaper.
It may be there was a issue when the Catalyst when the 'solution' was created: resulting from or perhaps creating the complete independence of Leviathan? Certainly a situation the Catalyst would never repeat again.

You did not have to be legendary teleported back in time and place after you did collector's base, did you? ME2 DLCs were "seamless", you could buy im when you start play, you could but them after you finish play, or somewhere inbetween.I only played Project Overlord, but that was just a fun standalone narrative, a story of "man's reach exceeding his grasp," with a choice of two resolutions at the end. I don't see the problem with singleplayer DLC like that.
In ME3 when you finish play you get your damn "legend" autoteleport for saving. So that you could buy DLC and finish ME3 again, asap. It's like "oh, shepard, you just sacrificed yourself for good and saved the galaxy? Now see our $$ content and do it again".

Stop using those 3 DLC's as some type of pathetic reason to want ME3 DLC as stated before ME2 has a satisfying ending that makes you want more of it ME3 DOES NOT.
