About: Asari Spectre: class Vanguard

Even a spectre can't be allowed to kill innocents to feed a ever growing addiction -- and yes, they'll develop sosiopathy and apathy, which makes them horrible team players. You think the asari would let the very shame of their species serve the council?

she's not an Ardat Yakshi

Explain Dominate then, which is an abillity gained after a lot of A-Y feeding.

The power is unlocked in ME3 when you complete Leviathan. Shepard can aquire it, why not other biotics?

I heard someone say Shepard automatically has a biotic implant regardless of what class you pick

and Kaiden learns how to do Reave in ME3, so if a human can learn Reave an Asari should be able to learn how to do Dominate, right?

The comparison isn't exact. While yes they are both biotic powers the fundaments behind them are severely different. Slam is a basic power, the idea behind it is similar to any form of throw, just apply a large amount of kinetic force in a single direction. Slam just happens to be "down." Dominate on the other hand is an ability to insinuate one's mental presence into the body of another organism and then control that organism via their own nervous system. Being completely honest, this is better described as magic than biotic science. Dominate as a power isn't exactly a mortal ability. While yes the lore say Ardat-Yakshi can do it, the idea is still there. The military of the galaxy, even the spectres wouldn't have someone with this kind of power. Not to mention it really does break the gameplay to have someone with that ability and then two others. <_< They'd just nerf the heck out of it in the same manner as Sabotage, and the idea that running rampant in someone else's mind does no damage is just ridiculous. That would totally destroy someone's mental processes. I mean you'd be lucky not to hemorrhage your brain!

I think you might be overthinking this a bit. It would be kinda fun regaurdless of the lore. Lore matters but not to every single detail. It's not like our physiscs make much sense.

Bonus powers violate canon; they are not a canon source.

the lore on the AY has be completely shattered in ME3, so does it really matter about a power. But if you can think of a new biotic power I can use, I'll switch it out

This is amazing. It'd be an instant buy for me. I especially like the idea of adding the Grissom Academy and Luna maps. I always thought that Grissom Academy's (infamous) courtyard would make a great map. Luna meanwhile would be a nice throwback to ME1.

I think so too. If it's duration is short and the effect it has on the traget is to also weaken it's defences, I can't see an issue. As it stands in SP it is way too over powered. Perhaps it could even be a chance power, 50 % chance of control. Adding a warp effect would make is more usuable (as I stated earlier).
