I think so too. If it's duration is short and the effect it has on the traget is to also weaken it's defences, I can't see an issue. As it stands in SP it is way too over powered. I can't see them wasting a power that they've already created, saves on making a new one for MP.

Now, after respeccing EDI today in SP, i wondered if an asari sentinel wouldn't be better off with Defense Matrix than Tech-Armor. The Sentinel class is mostly defined as a tank class and since an asari is very squishy, she needs more shields. And DM gives her that. Let's be honest, an asari sentinel with asari health/shield numbers would drop constantly. She doesn't need damage protection, she needs more shields and a faster recharge.
However, i really like your ideas, but i'd love to use Defense Matrix in this MP. I'm pretty sure if another DLC is coming, Dominate and Slam will be used for characters. But i don't have a lot of hope for DM, though.

Also if the new DLC is based on Omega, maybe we'll be getting mercenary characters?

I don't think its based on Omega, because it would wise to release the MP version around the time the SP DLC comes out. But if it is the Omega Mercs I'll be happy with that, but I still want my Spectres lol

Discharge Mine
Like the Geth heavy melee, you are able to place it somewhere on the map, and have it periodicly discharge an electrical wave. Unlike a normal mine, it will not detonate if enemies come near it, but will keep discharging until it is either destroyed, the wave ends, or you place a new one.

Yeah, I thought about it as well when I saw their targetting lasers. Don't usually see those laser because they die too fast.
