No Spectres. They aren't common soldiers you can just send out on spec ops strike missions. There's fewer than a hundred of them in the galaxy.

Closest analogue to a Spectre outside of Mass Effect would be Director Nick Fury from the Avengers. My bet would be that the remaining Spectres are doing rather Shepard-esque things during the Reaper invasion- Commanding ships, rallying resistances, leading armies, etc.

They have more power than a Council race's Rear Admiral rank. Hell, they have unlimited power second only to the Council- They are literally above the law and can commandeer anything and everything.

Pasted from another thread I put that in. Seriously. Guys. You send special forces and elite operatives on strike missions with an exceedingly high fatality/casualty rate.

You do NOT risk sending some of the most powerful individuals in the GALAXY on N7 Special Ops. There's less than a hundred of them in the galaxy, and the galaxy needs their leadership to win the war.

I can see them being tied in to multiplayer, but not playing as one. I mean, how would they even be issued orders, anyways? I can't see an Alliance officer being brash enough to use that tone of voice (the MP announcer) with someone who so vastly outranks him he could literally make him disappear.

you do know that in SP your Spectre War Asset is on earth right? and it wouldn't break the game just like the N7 characters

Plus theres got to be some fighting if all they did was lead and not fight why would they even be needed.

I'm telling you. The sword brought new ideas along with the ex Cerberus whips ..non biotic they can be electrical and be engineers , turret , whiplash(non biotic lash) , whip electrocute (whip out wraps around opponent and electrocutes them for x amount of time and damage. Or can stab into ground and launch and emp wave that shocks as well ?)

I approve of this idea. I always wondered, after we heard about how Spectres are so incredibly skilled, why they didn't play a bigger role in ME3. That being said, I really think new enemies would freshen up the multiplayer the most.

true because we only hear about them once or twice and I'm sure they would try to help defend or retake areas in this war

I'm pretty sure the Spectre armor pic given in the first pages is a mod...

well I like the idea of Spectre Characters. I don't like the idea of SAME OLD POWER USAGE

We should have NEW POWERS not the same ones. @OP, good idea, just I don't agree with your power usage ideas. Their boring.

new powers/weapons/ abilities this equals Fun and adds Creativity

the power list isn't finale yet, I've been switching them each time me or someone else comes up with a new power, some of them are new and slam should be in the MP

Spectre weapons have disappeared from the game though. Didn't see them in ME2 (one could say due to us being cerberus or w/e) but we didn't see them in me3 and we definitely could have. 3 weapons was all we were offered in the spectre office... blah. And I was so excited to enter the spectre room again.

I felt the selection of weapons in SP was very limited.

Honestly I'd prefer new factions and game modes over new classes. Even if MP is progressing towards the final showdown on Earth, there are still tons of places and tons of operations they can showcase in MP. The war isn't just taking place in places Shepard visits after all.

I am trying to think of a new game mode to go with this, I am willing to use other peoples suggestions too
