...don't pick your favorite out of the new dlc characters. The RNG will sense this and punish you for wanting it more than the others by never giving it to you. I remember I had to wait a month after the first dlc to get my grubby hands on a geth engineer, the one I really wanted. Meanwhile, I quickly maxed out the appearances for all the other characters, but no geth engineer. So now I try to stay completely blasé about everything so the RNG doesn't know what I really want and can't screw me.
Whatever you do...

I'm finding it hard to get excited about the new stuff at all at this point, but always good to not want any certain thing too much. Just enjoy what you do get.

Oh Boy! Just look at those Geth! And that Krogan! I sure hope I don't get those nasty Batarians instead.
*opens 5 resurgence packs, gets 2 of each Batarian and Kishock sniper*
Well, the first one didn't work out, but just look at that Phoenix Vanguard! Just look at those whips! I just hope I don't get any Vorcha, they're my least favorite race in the lore.
*Spends 1 mil credits, gets only 1 Gear, nothing else from Rebellion. Opens Victory pack, gets VSentinel.*
Just to make matters worse, right before I quit, the game sensed my rage and gave me my Krogan Vanguard and Sentinel, Cerberus Vanguard, Hurricane, and ranks in all my favorite shotguns within the same week. Darn RNG is sentient, I tell you!
