Dear Mr. Gaider

Thanks. Honestly.

With Morrigan you created one the most intriguing characters gaming has seen for
years. Moreover, if the player romanced her, the whole relationship between her
and the main character had an emotional impact that is – if anything - second
only to Aerith’s legendary death in Final Fantasy VII. The sheer amount of
threads and postings dealing with the topic may serve as proof.

I do want to encourage you to continue the story of Morrigan’s child. We as players have
made the decision whether to accept her offer or not. It does not matter,
whether we choose to do so from selfish motives (saving our character) or from
romantic feelings (maintaining the established emotional ties with her).

It’s the most important decision, both regarding the story’s ending and regarding our
player character. It’s the final decision and the only decision in the game
that truly matters. Whether werewolves or elves fight by our side does not
change the game’s main plot that much. How we respond to Morrigan’s offer does.

Even though fictional, accepting her offer made us establish one of the most fundamental
social relationships, fatherhood. By allowing us to establish this relationship
you finally made us co-authors.

As “the maker” ;) of Dragon Age’s universe you do
have the responsibility to continue that story. More precisely, give us the
chance to continue it. Be it in the main plot of a forthcoming Dragon Age 2 or
– keeping in mind the players who chose differently – via DLC for DA:O. I
myself am in favour of the latter.

Let me put this straight: It’s not a one-way road. You do not own this the fans or their
player characters respectively. You do own this our concerted creation:
Morrigan and her child.

Yours sincerely

MAB

PS: I have read in the forums that it is already your plan to continue Morrigan’s tale. So
please understand this letter as a thank-you letter and an approval of your
work.

I  Morrigan as much as the next, but I have to think who will lead the dwarves, whether the Anvil is destroyed, and whether the Circle is saved or annulled is a bit more important than Morrigan getting what she wants.

Though Morrigan might disagree.

Anyways, David is awesome

I think what the OP means is that it is the most important decision for the player, not the world around him.
I completely agree, after deciding on Morrigan's offer I could care less about curing the wolves, saving the anvil and making bhelen king, killing off the mages, killing off the cult of andraste etc.
All those decisions were fairly minor compared to Morrigan's offer although all of those decisions affected far more 'people' while this offer only affected Morrigan and the PC.

As 'the player' I can say this wasn't the most important decision for me. Another 'the player' might disagree though.

Wherein I cared more about all of those decisions than whether a GW dies or now.

It's a puppy.

That the fact it can even speak in perfect, legible english letters should be in itself a miraculous spectacle the likes only Jesus could outdo.

A half-assed miracle is still half-assed. "No sense in teaching a puppy to speak text if you can't do it right." That's what my father always told me.

Enough! How many we love David Gaider threads do we need? I like him too, but I swear there is like 20 already. Find one of the other ones, which they're everywhere, and post in them, don't start a new one.

Platonic love?

Well, The Angry One/Maria Caliban/Adria Teksuni/Kerridan Kaiba/Milla Jovovich/Kim Swift/Jennifer Hale/Claudia Black is my one true love.  But after her, totally George.

That depends on what you intend to do.  Since I had Loghain warderized, my character had a convenient way to deal with any potential long term Loghain issues by making sure there was no long term.  As such, Morrigan's offer only meant she took off.  And since I used Wynne as my mage, her taking off didn't exactly bother me.

As such, Morrigan's offer was minor and her reaction, by leaving, only served to justify my character's decision not to let her have the god baby.

From a world persepctive though, I think that decision will actually be pretty huge, as it pretty much begs to be the subject of the sequel.  We don't know how big it'll be, but odds are, that decision will have been bigger than whether or not to break the Anvil.
