I will put an addendum to the earlier thing I said about FBW farming on Platinum, which is that it has to be done legitimately. Rocket glitching or any other form of cheating does not count.

Sir will we be able to get enough credits from one run on platnium for premium spectre packs?

Hopefully not, because that would only encourage scrubs that are incapable of pulling their own weight to flood Platinum lobbies in the hopes of getting more credits to feed their gambling addictions.

Platinum should be there for people who understand the game, and want a challenge, not terribad players who want to max their weapons faster.

If their isn't a better reward then what is the point of fighting on a harder diffculty if the reward isn't better I mean just seems to waste a hour for less reward seems terrible

Though I wish I could give you a number (I can't, both because I've never extracted on Platinum myself and because it's something for people to find out for themselves), I will say that the amount of credits is a chunk more than you would get on Gold. Seeing as I recall getting about 72k credits on a successful Gold extraction (could be less if slower on the objectives), and the Premium Spectre packs cost 99k credits a piece, logic dictates that there is a good chance the answer to your question is yes, provided you finish the objective on wave 10. (again, I could be wrong)

Part of multiplayer is, but I'm in Edmonton, and all of the DLC MP levels, including the new ones in Earth, have been built here. To complicate matters entirely, though, I'm Dutch, so I'll likely just use a Dutch baseball cap recipe.

For the challenge. Gold is easy for a lot of people. I do hope there is a slightly larger reward though.

Edit: looks like there is.

The challenge is the reward.

The hardest difficulty should cater to those who want the hardest challenge, not those that feel entitled enough to the most credits so as to drag the good players down.

Thats a big assumption what if players who already do well want to get a higher reward for fighting or doing even more hard work in platnium if they don't get more credits then that extra effort is pointless and meaningless and their are some good people who want to hard hard challange but have good rewards also

i still have a feeling the 1st platinum run people will try is 2 biotics, duration infiltrator with krysea and salarian engineer with decoy on FBW with Geth. just a hunch. that was the farming dream team until people realized it was so easy that you can do it with any characters

If people manage to farm Platinum on Firebase White with any regularity, I will buy a baseball cap, cut a piece off of it and eat it.

Interesting.

So what would you do if people could consistently speed run Firebase Glacier on Platinum?

Because I have a group of guys that are more than willing to accomplish that feat.

No arguement with this at all.  As long as all the good gold players with the great gear gained it legitimately by playing random gold, not farming ever and not dropping out or giving up on games before extraction.

I Personally feel that even to complete a single Legit game of Platinum would be a major Accomplishment in itself,
I Just want to ask one thing out of curiosity: can you tell us, what is the Maximum Credits that can be earned from a single Platinum game?

This^^^ Thank you Bioware! Many thought the multiplayer would be a needless addition...boy were they wrong.

Bioware has created a brilliantly addictive online shooter, and their continued support has been phenomenal.

Fans had also asked for Vorcha (and one of the suggestions for a Vorcha Soldier is nigh-identical to what became the real one), male Quarians, Batarians, Geth, a Krogan Vanguard, and other awesome things that became part of the game   ^_^   And I'm pretty sure the Demolisher's Supply Pylon and the Paladin's Omni-Shield were also previously suggested. Things like these are why this is one of the best multiplayer games I've ever played

The formula for credits per match earned has been around 2x (ammount credits earned in previous difficulty) + 5000

Silver: 2x 15000 + 5000 = 35000
Gold: 2x 35000 + 5000 = 75000

Therefore, the best guess would be:

Platinum: 2x 75000 + 5000 = 155000

I'm excited that Bioware says Platinum will be more difficult than Gold was when the game just started. I remember how much fun, intense, and difficult Gold was. Nowadays I can solo it with any enemy, any map, and pretty much any class. I haven't made a habit of finding skilled regulars to play with because I can just carry any Gold PUG I'm in. It would be fun to feel that I HAVE to find a skilled team that I HAVE to communicate with to even have a chance of winning Platinum.

If the harder diffculty offers no higher reward then the players doing well at gold could still get the same reward I mean it seems really silly to not up the reward if your going to up the risk

i've gotten as low as just over 69k and as high as 75k (75k i know is the max) for a gold run. i'm not sure what the minimum is though

I guess that depends on what type of player you are.

Do you play Gold mostly because you like the challenge, or because you get more credits? If Platinum gave the same reward as Gold, it would weed out a lot of the bad players who obviously aren't ready, but are willing to play outside of ther comfort zones in the hopes of getting more credits.

In reality, all they do is drag the team down, and it's why Gold PUGs are a nightmare. I hope Bioware implemented something to keep that from happening to this new mode. especially if it's as brutal as they're leading us on to believe.

Mr. Hendriks eating a baseball cap if we tame Platinum?

That's not a very healthy diet, now I have to sabotage every team I get to preserve your health and by association skills to continue work on Mass Effect.

Sounds good to me, though lets see if conditions for it are met first.
Also, I'd best start researching edible headwear.

Nah, I'll eat part of a hat if people can successfully farm FBW on Platinum.
