Not really. You attack an enemy's weaknesses, not his strengths. 

we're talking about the reapers. they need not worry about the enemies weaknesses.

Ash made a training in south america, I don't remember if it was on Brazil...

She trained there (check the link) but she ain't FROM there.

Both Ash and Shepard started their military career training in the city of Macapá, also in Brazil.
