My question is, if my Shepard has a squad bonus perk/power that increases health & shields by 30% does that mean that I get the bonus too or just my squad. I've read elsewhere that you do and that you don't. I just need some clarification please.

There is nothing that powerful. The squad bonuses are normally in the 10% range, 15% tops.

Anyways only the squadmates get the bonuses, that being said some of the squad bonus passives seem to be bugged and won't do anything. If there is a alternative to squad bonus then get that instead for every character.

Thank you, because when I read that Shepard would get his own squad bonus it didn't make much since.

Shepard's squad bonus doesn't seem to apply to himself, but squad-mates squad bonus does apply to Shepard. For example, having Javik's and Vega's shield regen gives a whopping 40% to Shepard. If Shepard has the Collector armor (20% more shield regen) and up to 30% from various powers and passives, he can end up with 90% shield regen, translating to almost never taking health damage.

But in regards to squad bonuses that can give Shepard health and shields, only Vega has it.

Yeah.

I haven't really investigated it fully.  But in the least you can play around with most of them in the squad screen and see the affect on powers.  Like Liara's biotic squad evolution shows differences in the powers in the squad screen.
