Dude, seriously.

Having sex is actually really good for you. It creates oxytocin, which helps people bond.

This isn't head canon. It's biological fact.

But the same thing can be achieved by something much less painful than anal. It serves no purpose, but people still do it anyway.

Wow, this is the most interesting conversation I've had on a forum.

I'm fairly sure this is also true for asari.

You have to reach a certain level of...progression in the act, if you catch my drift.

No, I think that physical sex can have a positive effect as well, just not as much of one as the Union. Given asari genital structure, they probably evolved from a species that had both female and male members, like several parthenogenic lizards on Earth.

I actually think that f/f fans got short shrift in the games. Kaidan and Cortez were great m/m romances, albeit only in the third installment. But Kelly and Allers aren't really fully developed romances for either Shepard, they're hookups, nothing more. And Liara, being an alien, is a xenosexual relationship regardless of her gender. There really isn't a f/f HUMAN romance that is as developed as Kaidan (I was really hoping that Miranda would be the "developed" f/f romance in ME3). Samantha is a good f/f romance, but it's not on par with what you have with Steve as MaleShep, Steve's storyline has more emotional weight. And Samantha doesn't ever leave the Normandy, which is kinda lame.

Source? Besides, people are becoming more and more open-minded every day and BioWare certainly did. It wasn't a screw up, it was an advancement.

Sorry, can't find it right now (is it really so hard to believe that Bioware representatives said something stupid in an interview? They can't even keep Tali and Liara apart)

Closest was this: Basically, unlike DA, you don't get gay romance because ME is not the franchise that let's you make choices about those things. I.e. no homosexual romance for manShep because manShep isn't gay.

And yes, insisting that manShep is heterosexual is a screw-up - the correct answer would have been "That's up to the player" in a game that is, nominally, all about player choice (citing technical limitations for the lack of romance options in the game). The fact that Bioware is more open now is certainly an improvement, but it doesn't make that error any less of an error

Uh, no. You do it because it makes the bond between you stronger. It creates a chemical in the brain.

Chimpanzees do it. Bonobos do it. Dolphins do it. All for the same reason.

It doesn't just feel good, it has health benefits as well.

I disagree about Kelly; the content might be underutilized, but it's far, far from "just a hookup." It's a genuine relationship, just one that's a bit strained by Kelly's PTSD and inability to board the Normandy. It's true that there isn't  a human squadmate f/f romance, but... well, I love Liara and asari in general, so it never bothered me in particular.

No, you have to work on it and go through missions to progress the dialouge.

Zaeed is right off the bat.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You could say that about anyone (except Zaeed/Kasumi who are DLC characters).

wrong. you can never talk to an me3 character and when they want to do their mission then kelly tells you andyou just talk to them and it begins

I'm not sure if you're talking about ME2 or ME3, but
I remember speaking with Jacob, Miranda, Mordin, etc. way before they are ready to give their loyalty missions are ready to begin. It doesn't matter when they begin in this argument.

Liara was established and already expected so nothing new there.

Mshep and kaiden should've stayed straight making them come out of a closet they were never in has set president to now make gay characters straight, straight characters bi, or previous romanceable characters not romanceable in the sequel so now in even Luke can be attracted to Hans it no longer matters what the past established of a characters interest or lack there of. This especially is bad for mshep were BW already had a press release on the topic of mshep was straight and fshep was bi.

Beyond that Steve was fine BW should've just had mshep hook him up with someone else not retcon shep to be able to hookup w/ Steve. I have no problem w/ Steve or Traynor being gay because they were new.

Anal sex for men is actually quite pleasurable. Do I really have to go into the logistics of why? ;)

Periods. Use them.

And...u mad? Sorry that other people's Shepard's having the option of being gay somehow takes something away from your game. You might want to check yourself though, you might be coming down with a case of homophobia.

Asari do not have vaginal cavities. They have something called an azure. They are not he same.

Besides, my Shepard was exploring another womans cavities.

*cough*

Ohohohohoho, this is where you're wrong. Apparently, while ordinary naked women are taboo to show, hideously monstrous naked women are fine, and brought with them a certain revelation.

NSFW.

Thought i should re-post this because is strongly showed that bioware were thinking that alll asari are women when creating the asari.

In the words of Udina: You wanted proof? There it is.

I'm still wondering where you are going for with this since the argument was about how fast the "loyalty mission" could be completed and every (except Zaeed/Kasumi) loyalty mission could be completed after Horizon.

Cortez isn't hard to save. It's a couple of conversations. In fact, I'll say it:

It's easier to save Cortez in ME3 than it is to save Miranda. At least Cortez takes it like a man if you're not interested, Miranda DIES.  And Cortez doesn't require intel or you turning over alliance stuff without even an explanation.

I like Miri, and I always save her, but she's got way more hoops than Steve...

I thought the point of Mass Effect is that Shep was 'your' Shepard, not 'Bioware's' Shepard.

Or did I miss something?

Following that logic, if Bioware didn't see Shep as being male, there shouldn't be a female option.

And femshpe ****ing rules :D

my point is that for the me2 squaddies you diddnt need to talk to them repeatedly if you diddnt want to before their mission to gain their loyalty so the time it takes to gain their loyalty is the length of their mission 20-30 mins tops.
Cortez however requires you to speak to him repeatedly. but you need to wait for the plot to progress before you can speak to him again, therefore making the task of making him loyal much more tedious as it can be hours of play between the conversations
