Right now I can't see Micrososft actively purchasing Activision/Blizzard since they have a next gen console coming in the near future which will require there attention and money to market.

However if they did that could be a huge blow to competitive consoles since realistically all of Activision's IP's would become XBox exclusive with the occasional PC release.

Hell Imagine that Call of Duty and other titles moving from Steam to GFWL.

Hell imagine Diablo 3 moving to GFWL........ actually that wouldn't be much different to the current setup.
