Indeed we can, OP.  The question is, will we?  Or will this thread get derailed like absolutely every other thread on these forums?

For my part, thank you Bioware for giving us something great, even if some of us act like spoiled children.

The ending of the game still sucks, still a rip off of Deus Ex Machina. Completely destroys the games that came before it. The entire game of ME3 was so stripped down and lacked any real gameplay mechanics that were present in ME1 and ME2 like mini games, planet exploration, dialogue wheel being stripped out in all but a handful of conversations, unable to talk to quest givers, run and fetch quests, auto-dialogue... I can go on and on and on. Why would I want to thank BioWare and EA for such a crap game?

No they don't deserve any kind of thanks. Instead they only deserve my derision and ridicule and hate.

I'll Thank them when they don't lie prior to release about content within the game ( Endings, how dialogue works, etc.)

First, they release an amazing game in ME3.

game was rushed and unfinished, several things was cut for dlc.
more autodialogue than ever. couldnt get all ending in SP without MP.

deuce985 wrote...
Then, they continue with a ton of post-launch support for the community.

took them for ever to even aknowledge several faults, and longer to even fix them..
face import, required mp, the PR department was a disaster too

All the free MP DLC and gave us the awesome EC.

the MP is based on a microtransitionsystem to buy lotto tickets that might
give you a upgrade or character, but mostly gives you rubbish..
and every new dlc makes it harder to max out what weap you want.

The  EC ending you should thank Retake ME for, you know the fans

SP DLC on the way(can't wait, paid or free).

that new DLC seems to brake the lore and produce even more plotholes,
i menn who cares about the story/narrative or lore's integrity.
and since it supposedly has no impact on the endings, well
and does not add either squadmate or LI... well

deuce985 wrote...
They even listended to the community and gave us the new EC soundtracks free!

this one i agree one. especially good for me since the music didnt work in my EC... lol

I'll thank them for everything prior to ME3's ending yeah, but I'll forgive them when they release the rest of their "artistic integrity" and give us the ending(s) this series deserves.

You might as well not use Artistic Integrity as an insult, they never used it.

Everyone knows giving us all this free stuff is just a ploy to take all our money, kick our puppies and steal our souls.

Well, it's a ploy to garner back some of the lost fan loyalty.

It succeeded, though I don't think it succeeded to the degree they expected.

IMO I dont know of any other dev.. that gives away that much DLC, soundtracks, listened to the fans and released EC ending, I give em a big thumbs up. All the negative post in this thread? Your on this site aren't you? You probably still playing MP. You cant tell me you aren't going to play "Earth"DLC. You cant tell me your not going to play the SP DLC. So stop hating and just admit you love ME3 and BW...Jeez!

Thanks Bioware!! I am very appreciative of the hard work you have done and continue to do. It's always sad when people get stuck in the grieving stage.

CD Projekt. Bethesda, Turbine (hey, the whole MMO is free), …

You probably still playing MP.

No, never did.

You cant tell me you aren't going to play "Earth"DLC.

No, I won’t. They lied about MP requirements, and I won’t reward lying.

You cant tell me your not going to play the SP DLC.

We’ll see when/if that happens.

So stop hating and just admit you love ME3 and BW

ME3 was a terrible game by BioWare standards. Mediocre by Gears of War standards. So, no, BioWare and I are definitely “ït’s complicated” right now.

ME1: Outstanding

ME2: Outstanding

ME3: Average

ME3 Endings: Way Below Average, even after EC

So no, I will not give Bioware my thanks. I will give them a hypothetical dissapointed face, since I know they were capable of producing a better ME3, and at the very least, could have actually changed the ending and made it great.

There are individuals within Bioware I would thank, but as a whole, nope. I would like to be able to but any gratitude I have is marred by disappointment and mistrust. I still like Mass Effect but the sheer amount of wasted potential looms over everything after the first game.

The best way to say "Thank You" to Bioware is to keep buying their games. Everything else is just back and forth bickering on the BSN.

Given that they completely screwed up the ending to such a great series with the last few minutes of the game, and then it took a HUGE fan outcry, which they initially tried to dismiss as a minority thing, until they were practically forced to do something about it, I don't see much reason to give them praise.

Especially since what they did do about the ending was woefully insufficient, and failed to address any of the things that I considered the major failings in the ending with the EC. The ending is still a deus ex machina ending, with totally unbelievable, genre breaking space magic.

There WERE things they got right with the game - parts of the game were brilliantly written. Especially the parts involving Mordin and Tali were very, very good.

But for me, ultimately the game fell flat - I lost interest half way through my second playthrough, and that's never happened before with a Bioware game. The story is very linear, and the fact that you get your companions in a certain order throughout the story, and that there are fewer companions than before, means that there are fewer permutations of team mates for fewer mission you can try on subsequent playthroughs. This may be one of the reasons why I don't see much replay value in the game.

And knowing what you are working towards, the most offensively bad ending to a game I can remember, it's hard to work up much enthusiasm.

The game was good, but hardly great.

But it's not even about the failings in the ending - it is about how difficult it was to get Bioware to admit to any fault, it was about the whole war-asset-multiplayer-tie-in debacle and how badly that was handled, it was about the PR campaign for the game extolling the unprecedented fan response... without mentioning that that response was negative - these things left a really bad taste in my mouth, and I certainly cannot thank Bioware for that.

I'd rather thank them for the earlier games they've released - great games like DA:O and Mass Effect 1, even ME2 - and give them a virtual slap on the wrist for ME3, and the surrounding missmanagement of PR, and the fanbase. Here's hoping they'll learn from this, and won't make the same mistakes again.

I agree. I've got my issues with ME3 (mostly about the policy of putting aside ME2 characters) but I must THANK YOU BioWare for all the time I've enjoyed this amazing Universe.

ME2 almost changed my life, and ME3 is currently giving me tons of fun. Thanks.
