Why cant they just release a "Indoctrination Extended Cut" to give the VAST majority of anti-ingame-ending people what we want and be able to please everyone?
Why do'nt people ask bands to change there music more to the liking of the masses? Or to change the ending of a movie or a novel? Ask an artist to change his paintings more to the liking of the general public? Its like asking them to sell out their soul, their moment of inspiration. Compromising on one's inspiration only leads to mediocracy. I know i would not do it. You see, there i some truth in the artistic integrity argument. It is almost like compromising on a principle. You either may or may not like the ending, but you can hardly demand that they will change it.

Sure ME3 pales in comparison to an amazing game like ME2, but you got to understand that it is still a very good game regardless. I mean, why else would you play it?spiros9110 wrote...
I thank them for their earlier works of "art" (ahaha), but not this one, sorry.

I would play it for the replayability, like the other games they've made - ME3, none. I'm not going to thank them with how their PR department treats fans too.

To answer the title question: Not from me.
The EC was damage control; if you have studied marketing with any degree of depth, you'll know that. I am not going to thank a company for releasing a partially finished and underexplained game, and then trying to retain me as a customer because I realized I bought a faulty product that didn't live up to the executive producer's promises. This game was easily worth $30, and (in my opinion) not a cent more. It does not live up to the name BioWare built for itself, and seems to be a sign of things to come from this company.
As customers, we owe nothing to the companies who manufacture (or retail) the things we buy. When we give them our money in exchange for their products, both of us are supposed to be made better off. This company made off with my money, and did not live up to its promises, as such I have a right to be displeased with them. I can't lay it out in any simpler terms; you might be sick of hearing it, but it is a very logical reaction given the situation. Call it what you want, and label me however you like, but that is where things stand for me.
Coudn't agree more!!! When you break the game down as a whole (and being very nit picky here) and compare it to the amount of content, the plot, and the storyline tagent side questing in both ME1 and ME2, ME3 was very poorly executed for the all the hype that was drummed up by the Bioware team.

They did this for damage control. We held a loaded gun to their head so to speak, fix the endings or else. It's business and they pissed off a vast majority of their fan base.

Bioware is forced to make free MP DLC because the game heavily relies on operant conditioning; unlike Blizzard, however, Bioware didn't think matters through and decided to have a finite pool of unlockables (you can always find a better weapon because affixed are random, but one you got the Widow X you're done - thus Bioware has to keep introducing new weapons and characters).
[cf number of people complaining about missile usage in wave 11 - if you only play for the credits, you're not enjoying the game]

Regardless, ME is one of the best series ever so thanks for that.
And a big thank you for creating Garrus!

You know, it's hard to measure artistic value by simply reducing the game to number of dialogues, side quests or hours of gameplay. Here's my very very short comparison of ME1-3 emphasizing the best features of each.

YES, they sell games for actual money and it's seriously for real! They feed their families with it!
But does any of you find it troubling that a physician, policeman and firefighter get money for their work?
But still, you thank them for caring about you, because that's what civilised people do.
ME3 was rushed, released too soon, agreed, but the EC made things right again and it was for free.
BW listened to the fans and that's what makes them a good company.
Moreover, what people thank them for is the fun they delivered, vast and living universe they liked for so many years, well-told story. That's something hardly measurable even if it's still just a computer game.
I guess everyone's fair now: we bought it, didn't like it, so they improved it for free. It's more than we could expect.
IMHO everyone should be happy now and thankful for each other. It's a happy ending after all!
Thank you for that: both BW and BSN <3

Yet no one complained about the random unlocks for non-base classes and items in the vanilla game... oh wait, we did complain and Bioware just ignored it.they couldn't have charged for it if they wanted to given the randomness of the items involved

I'm really enjoying the games so much. I don't care what anyone thinks about the endings, they're even better thanks to the EC. I'm no complainer like nearly everyone else. I think you did a fantastic job to give me an amazing experience.
Hopefully we'll see more games in the distant future.

Ugh, seriously? Physicians, policemen and firefighters save peoples lives... Bioware make games. It's totally your business if you want to say thanks, but using examples like that? c'mon now.

I say "thank you, goodbye" when I leave a grocery store.
It's the way I express my gratitude for someone who's doing what (s)he's supposed to right.
Because everyone likes to know their work is appreciated. It makes people happy face.
