They produced a game that had a horrid ending and claimed it was "artistic" rather than admit they made a horrid ending, and when we demanded it be changed to better reflect the cornucopia of endings we where told we would get, from the most bleak "everything dies" ending (the refusal ending), to the "blue babies" ending. Instead we got a better explanation of why the endings sucked and a middle finger of the refusal ending.
Sorry but im not thanking them for doing their job, making a profit whilst lying to customers about 16 different endings.

When you break the game down as a whole (and being very nit picky here) and compare it to the amount of content, the plot, and the storyline tagent side questing in both ME1 and ME2, ME3 was very poorly executed (...)
You know, it's hard to measure artistic value by simply reducing the game to number of dialogues, side quests or hours of gameplay. Here's my very very short comparison of ME1-3 emphasizing the best features of each.mwags85 wrote...

they did all this for us. That's what sets them apart from the rest
They did this for damage control. We held a loaded gun to their head so to speak, fix the endings or else. It's business and they pissed off a vast majority of their fan base.
YES, they sell games for actual money and it's seriously for real! They feed their families with it!
But does any of you find it troubling that a physician, policeman and firefighter get money for their work?
But still, you thank them for caring about you, because that's what civilised people do.
ME3 was rushed, released too soon, agreed, but the EC made things right again and it was for free.
BW listened to the fans and that's what makes them a good company.
Moreover, what people thank them for is the fun they delivered, vast and living universe they liked for so many years, well-told story. That's something hardly measurable even if it's still just a computer game.
I guess everyone's fair now: we bought it, didn't like it, so they improved it for free. It's more than we could expect.
IMHO everyone should be happy now and thankful for each other. It's a happy ending after all!
Thank you for that: both BW and BSN <3
Yes I agree the story was totaly amazing and I absolutely loved Mass Effect 1 and 2 and for that I will give Bioware credit. And I guess I could have over looked the many flaws with Mass Effect 3 had their endng completely "wowed" me. But read my prior comments, the ending of ME3 basically destroyed the whole story for me. It's no longer worth playing through when the Reapers mysterioius existence is summed up as, "we're trying to save you by harvesting you so you don't get wiped out by synthetics". Stupid twisted logic and has nothing to do with anything the other games, and most of ME3, were about. A game ending twist is supposed to enhance and tighten the knot of the overall plot, this twist completely unravelled everything. Throughout the series, humans we're impaled on spikes, turned into monstrous zombie husks. Indoctrination, crudely manipulating and twisting the minds of allies. Asari turned Banshee. Walking abominations. The Brutes!!! Capturing humans and melting them down to create a human Reaper. Reapers laying waste with huge red laser beams. At exactly what point did harvesting come into play here I'd like to know? This is utter, horrific, pure evil and the explanation for all this is we're trying to save you? This reminds me of the scene from Mars Attacks when the Martians are destroying everything in sight and running around with the translator machine saying, "Don't run, we are your friends." Overall, this ending doesn't fit, it doesn't work and had no reason to be what it was in this series, plain and simple.

But calling those who don´t like the ending idiots is the right way? That shows everything... thx.
But I am willing to listening to your arguments when you try to convince me (yes, I am one of those "idots" who don´t like the ending with or without the EC). But i prefer not to be called an idiot. Thx
EDIT: HAHAHA, I see, you changed idiots into fools. Afraid of getting banned?
