I find surprisingly much hate in this thread, really guys? Are the last 10 minutes going to define the other 100+ hours of an otherwise amazing trilogy?

Yes because for me it destroys everything I did in last 100+ hours of amazing gameplay.  I no longer have the excitement to play it again because I know I have no rewarding experience too look forward to for my efforts.

I'm so surprised so many fans feel this way. I am currently on my third playthrough of the entire series, first one with all DLC and the EC, and it only gets better for me each time I play, as I discover something new with every playthrough. I love Bioware, and look forward to all future ME related material (except the anime haha).

@Postman778 Yea changed it because this zero-tolerance thing showed up on my screen lol. If you would like to hear some of my thoughts on the ending I'm asking people why they thought the ending was bad and replying to some people http://social.biowar...4808/1#13125024

@phat0817 lol said someone who posted before me complaining about the ending, you are part of the "omg bioware you didn't give me what I wanted QQ~!!!!" and you have the nerve to tell me that. Your funny.

It's not that Bioware didn't give us want we wanted, it's that they failed to deliver on what the series deserved and what they promised us.  For that, I've shelved their game.  They want to keep the discs in the tray?  Mass Effect 3 deserves a new Mass Effect 3!!!  But that won't happen so my disc will stay out of the tray.

Eventually, you are going to die. After you die, there will either be nothing at all, or you'll be in a state in which your prior life is going to be overshadowed by far more significant forces.

So what is the point of enjoying your life now, if it is inevitably going to end?

No since we pay money for ME games and MP DLCs are paid by microtransactions. So been paid is enough of a thank. OP do you thank your Internet provider for giving you a service you pay for???? What kind of nonsense is this....

Thank you, Bioware. You have brought me the single best gaming experience ever. I never thought I could become so attached to all the characters.

First, they release an amazing game in ME3.

They've done (much) better before. ME3 was an emotional rollercoaster, but it felt too stilted, too unnatural, and too disconnected from the rest. ME3 is not that amazing, and I'm baffled that so many people overlook how poor the story is put together. I guess that's all because the ending overshadows the rest, though.

deuce985 wrote...

All the free MP DLC and gave us the awesome EC.

It's only free because so many people pay money to buy the packs. They are the real cause that the MP DLC are free, so you'd be better off thanking them.

SP DLC on the way(can't wait, paid or free).

Now that the Extended Cut is out, I can honestly say I'm no longer interested in anything Mass Effect. I'm not sure how it works, but it has brought closure, too bad it's in a 'goodbye' kind of way, I very much enjoyed the combat, the only think done right in the game.

Thank you so much Bioware for continuing to be my favorite dev. I wish more devs in the industry would be so involved with their community...=]

Try CD-projekt.

Wow this is all so wrong, you really shouldn't post about things you have no idea about.

Edit: You can thank them for w/e you want, just not for the endings.

They will fix the ending with the new DLC with the reaper that's why they had make refuse ending and now with the reaper you can win without the crucible :D:D:D:D

I don't think I quite understand what your'e trying to get across here.  Are you saying nothing I do in my personal life means anything because once I die none of it will matter anyway?

No. It is strictly against Bioware Social Network policy to promote any kind of optimism towards Bioware, its employees and their games. Thanks for playing.

I appreciate the extra work that went into the EC of ME3... That was a great, considering how much easier it would of been just to move personal/resources to other projects. Thanks for that. I'm still a fan of Bioware... and I'm still afraid EA will kill 'em...

The extra work should have been done in the first place. Now they just have to do the same to the rest of the damn game. No. Bioware arnt getting any praise.

Most game developers wouldn't of done this. Most would of just said "You don't like the ending? Deal with it." But Bioware actually put all their other work on hold and produced free DLC for us. Sure, the new endings aren't perfect, but I can see where they are coming from when they say that they don't want to completely change the endings they made. There has to be a little give and take. Bottom line, Thank you Bioware for making my favourite Game series of all time and I can't wait to see what else you can do in the future.

Nah, EC is overrated. Epilogue was vague and much less detailed than the DA:O epilogue. Too much speculation remains. If it was as detailed and provided full closure to every character like DA:O's epilogue, I would have been happy with it. But it isn't. All the gushing praise of Bioware is really not deserved, since they really didn't achieve anything revolutionary with these. Credit to Bioware for making the effort, but my point still stands. I realise that I'm being very cynical, but that's my honest opinion on all this. Having said that though, I've moved on from the Mass Effect series as a whole now, and this whole ending business as well. It just doesn't matter that much to me anymore.

No I don't think they deserve any thanks, the game was forced from the start and the ending was the just the final nail in the coffin. An example I got Borderlands on Steam's summer deals and saw the Cerberus defender there in a game 3 years old. Good art there Bioware, coping Deus Ex wasn't enough so you copy the entire model of a Borderlands npc as well.

They got their €90 and it will be the last they get from me no matter what. I will never support the company again. And before you ask I only came back to see the reaction from SDCC.

The extended cut was made to be waved when people point to the rushed job that mass effect 3 was, a few cut scenes do not make up for this. It was not loyalty to the fanbase it was the fact they relized they had truely pissed off so many customers they needed something to claim they cared what they thought, they dont.

They wanted an ending that people could talk about. I'd say they accomplished that. They also wanted people to interpret the ending in their own way instead of having everything spoon fed to them. I'd say they've accomplished that from the various fan theories about the ending to other issues that were brought up during the game. Unfortunately, some must rely on a company to resolve all the story lines instead of being a little creative.

I wouldn't say that Mass Effect 3 was rushed. They started working on it as soon as ME2 was finished I believe or before that. That's roughly 2 years of development time. The time between ME1 and ME2 was from November 2007 to January 2010, which is around 2 1/4 years. ME2 to ME3 was around the same.

Game is very polished. It's not completely unplayable, unlike some games I've played.

Yep, thanks BW.

On an unrelated note, my girlfriend just started playing ME1 and is not up to Sovereign yet, which is a big deal... She's infatuated with the game and she is not a gamer girl at heart really, she only watches me play once in a while. But now while I'm at work she plays ME religiously... This series has a strange hold on people,

Let's put it this way, at least the ME series is better than a lot of the TV series the entertainment industry puts out...
