i never really liked him to tell the truth, but even i thought the guy didn't get his due in the game. his is not a really likeable guy but the way the killed him off was just dumb, kind of like "and his'... dead" and then they just moved on. like i said never really liked the guy but he really did deserve a better end.

I agree witht he OP.

Whole Coup thingy was poorly executed and it makes Udina look like someone who can't really think straight and Cerberus looks as a local bully.

What was the goal of the Coup again? How in the hell did he think this would work? Was he indoctrinated ? Why was Cerberus interested in it ? Later we see Cerberus doesn't really care about whole thing.

He's in ME3?

I never did anything with him after Miranda told me he wasn't...quite there.

A coward, that's it.

The Catalyst is not remotely believable, when i first saw it i was like "........your kidding right?", and for that matter, the kid, not the space kid, but that one kid on earth.......why should i feel bad he died when hes done absolutely nothing to make me care? He has no character. and finally, The Reapers themselves. While not COMPLETELY unbelievable, they are just TOO POWERFUL.

I knew Udina would do this crap since ME2. People seem to forget he betrayed Shepard in ME. So ya it's believable for Udina to pull this crap again.

For me it's TIM, I mean he always reminded me of a Bond Villain before, now he is a Bond Villain. With his legions of henchmen willing to fight to the death, his evil plan to take over the galaxy and constantly failing to kill Shepard.

Don't send your ninja who has proven incompetent time and time again, just shoot Shepard with a gun. No idiot don't talk to Shepard about your evil plan if you tell the hero your evil plan they're just going to use that information to stop you. Oh look now you're dead.

Moron.

The Catalyst / StarChild, no question.

Hackett. Nobody could conceivably be that awesome.

I was actually starting to like Udina, and then someone spiked his coffee with a shot of instant douche.

I agree - I was coming around to liking him when I made the first Citadel visit in ME3.  I still thought he was an ass, but we were agreeing on things for once (that Earth needed help ASAP).  Investigating his conversation branches revealed the bits of humanity he had bottled up inside.   Like I ALMOST felt sorry for this guy.

...until the Cerberus coup attempt happened.

No, he really wasn't. He was a joke from Day 1.

No, he was always a good character. Just because he wasn't likeable or disagreed with and impeded your Shepard doesn't mean he wasn't a good character.

Agreed.

The two events are not even comparable. By that logic, you should've expected that the Council was evil and secretly working with the Reapers.

The Council didn't believe Shepard about the Reapers either, does that make them evil?

Udina outright lied and lured Shepard to come back to the Citadel, then betrays her, almost dooming the galaxy. Plus in ME2 he is outright rude no matter what, I did not fall for his act in ME3 and knew he had something dirty planned and what do you know, I was right. Udina has and always will be a liar, an ass and a pain.

Udina's plan makes no sense. Killing the ambassadors of other countries doesn't mean you suddenly get to run their military. There's no reality in which that makes sense. The leaders would just appoint a new ambassador. The Council representatives are not the actual leaders of those species. For example, the turian ambassador is not the primarch and the salarian ambassador is not the dalatrass. Think about it. If the US ambassador to Japan gets killed, the president just appoints a new one. Japan wouldn't get to run things. It's bad writing and they can explain it away with "High level indoctrination or whatever."

There was absolutly no reason to randomly throw in an entirely new squad mate that has no unique purpose this deep into shepard's story. Honestly I might have found as much use out of the secruity chief from the citadel as a squad mate as I did him.

In ME Udina Shepard was becoming a political nuisance and that the Council had the situation under control. He had no idea that he was dooming the galaxy. It's understandable, even if its obviously misguided.

In ME2 he was rude? Really? Everyone who's rude to you engages in treachery now?

To be frank, I couldn't quite believe it when he exclaimed that Marauders look like turians.

Really James? Turian Reaper troops? In a place heavbily populated by turians? What is this sorcery? Next thing you know, he'll be telling me he just found out that those Husks look like humans, or that those Harvesters look like harvesters.

It is actually quite believeable that you might have someone new on the Normandy and some of your previous companions are off doing their own things. People just don't tend to like Vega. I thought he was ok.
