Has anybody seen this behavior? I'm wondering if I should just try another controller; unfortunately, I only have one right now...

To be fair though it has had about a million different games using it as a 'sprint' button (Modern warfare etc) and i honestly believe thats why mine was dodgy lol. Just thought id let you know that.

Are you serious? I never had such problem, so it's either a faulty Disc or something else to add to the bug lists of DA;O
A faulty disk would mean the game would not start up in the first place.

But perhaps you're right, a second controller should be good to test-drive things.

Did have the same problem in fallout 3 too - same direction and everything. I'd open my map, and it would start zooming in... this is what prompted me to drop 60 bucks on a new one.
Never heard of this wireless interference thing though... off to research!

It has nothing to do with your neighbors or anything like that, I play at hours noone near me is even awake at and it still does it all the time.
I've used 2 different controllers same result, there's something in the programming in this game that tells a char to run left at random intervals.

I don't have a Xbox but I don't think the problem is with the game but with your controller or it's configuration. I figure maybe there's a wireless channel problem and it needs to be changed or the joystick is just faulty.
Normally I'd agree, if it happened on any other game then this one. Only happens with this game, so lets narrow it down and say it's a problem with the game lol
Been playing borderlands and assassin's creed 2 alot lately, using same x-box, same controller, no problems what-so-ever with my char randomly wanting to face left/move left.

Out of combat I don't care as much, however, in combat I would prefer all the screw-ups to be mine alone.
This is a coding error that need to get fixed and hopefully will in the needed update.
