Just to satisfy all the Chauvinists here you can find your hearts desire in armor and lingerie at DANexus from community modders that have already answered your requests. Unfortunately Ladies no one has bothered to take your request seriously. If I could Mod or actually create something with the toolset I would do that, not so much because I dont like scantily clad women but It would make me a huge hero on the forum........ :-)

I love how all the white knights in this thread can't articulate an argument without immediately degrading the other side. Way to show your mental superiority, slugger.

Ok, update:

- So most of you mommyhuggers wanat cleavage? No problem, we dont have to change it all!

- And the Mademoiselles want(like myself) some more dramatic battle-clad armor?

>without mods this would mean, that all female Rogues should wear Wades DragonBone Armor(Medium).

- or someone makes some mods that include new "skins"; i mean on DAN there are nudity mods and "Morrigans-ooops-i-lost-my-bra!"-clothing mods.

So with some time there should come something less "boring" :)

and dont get me wrong: i dont have a problem with this abs-showing "armors".

But they dont look good. The back is too stiff and the stomach looks not very yummy.

Some reskin wi would appreciate(+ofc more options over Winter-Forge, or DLC)

C'mon who would wear this "bathsuit"-armors?
-Women in such a Medieval setting would be too "prude" for this.
-It isnt effective(DONT make me explain WHY ! :)
-Damn it! WE ARE IN FERELDEN! ITS FU**ING COLD IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD!!!

The male one looks really nice, especially with the gloves and stuff.:wizard:

Realistic eh? That would be an apron and a headcap then I guess since women's rights is something of the last few decades. In the middle ages, even in a fantasy setting, women were heavily discriminated against.

Atleast the kitchen isn't cold!

I also love how most of the proclaimed females are also unable of articulating an opinion without putting down anyone who might disagree. Especially considering none of them have volunteered to do the mod work themselves.

I love your selective reading. Please point out where I put down anyone. Most of the women posting in this thread haven't put anyone down. I also love how you say "proclaimed females," as if to imply that we aren't really females (no women programmers, no women in games, no women on slashdot, etc. It does get old hearing it).

I would be willing to rework the models if I had the tools and know-how. I haven't worked in 3D modeling in 15 years though, so it would be a big difference from what I used before. I also never really did organic stuff. I haven't really seen anyone working on models for Dragon Age yet - just textures, so the likelihood that anyone posting in this thread could really do it is low. You do get points for the "don't like it? Do it yourself" attitude though. It's at least consistent with the first half of your troll post.

I love your complete lack of basic reading comprehension. Proclaimed female = people who have stated in their post who are female. I have no way of verifying whether anyone else is or isn't. I'm stating my sample. Also, "most" isn't the same thing as "all".

I know what "proclaimed" means. Apparently you don't know what "implied" means though.

It is said that variety is the spice of life. So, I'm all for this. More leather armour models? Yes, please.

For those who say "Go to DA Nexus to get skimpy clothes":

Did you even look there yourself? Oh yes, they have this "natural bodies" mod, which can also be found here between all the projects. On the projects page here there's also an underwear mod which changes the underwear into something less granny, by the way, not to be found at DAN.

Next, let's look at the section "clothes". No less than 3 entries! All robes, one of them has a skimpy version which is basically a recolored Chasind robe, the other versions of that one entry are all covering, as are the other two entries in that section.

The section "models and textures" features all kinds of stuff: In the 30 entries listed, the nudemods are found here (and nude does not equal sexy), as are a teeth-whitening mod, 3 mods to alter 2 NPC models, a bunch of shield retextures, an armor retexture, LOTS of Morrigan redo's (The one character that actually does wear something sexy, and it gets modded into a tramplook :S). There's actually one proper mod for scale armor to make it slightly more sexy, though the colors are a bit off, and one nice mod that changes the coloring of the Dalish armor in something that still fits DA (Dalish Glass). The rest of the mods? Sorry, but it's terribly overdone. A 17-year old might get his kicks from it, but none of them fits the rest of the DA atmosphere.

But, I do beleave the answer lays with modding. Want something more sexy/less sexy? Then mod it. It's nice if BW releases some more armor for your kicks, but remember that DA should also release some armor for someone elses kicks then. The currrent default models are really rather neutral, which is only fair.

Because it's impossible atm.
To do so you have to import new meshes and this is not really working for armors.
So the only option is to use medium armor as the base. And this option is already ingame.
Anyway, beside the fact i won't use those armors i still second the request. More variety is never bad.

It's not impossible. Re-skins are relatively easy to do.

Actually the outfits weren't nearly risque enough.

Risque? They're Brooks Brothers compared to the cover girl shots on many magazines and bikini girls in many newspapers. Even the 'romantic' love scenes show less skin than celeb photos that regularly appear in supermarket tabloids.

I know I might come off like a real pratt here but here's something i noticed, the leather armour is really really unsexy methinks, especially with the really badly textured bare midriff, I think the red steel chain was the sexiest looking armour in game on my fem warrior, looked absolutely ace! I'm relatively happy about the in game armour as is, and would prefer it was added to with more variety, but and i say this with feeling, please, NO Barbarella outfits, we got loads of that in oblivion and NWN2 saw no shortage of it either, revealing, or knockers and joysticks out just aint sexy..... the sexiest armour i saw was on Leliana in the sacred ashes trailer, and i think some rather clever chap actually made it, so more of the same please! protection (without too much disbelief suspension) and sexiness!!!! yeay! BTW the quote "I'm playing as a male wearing a dress, and throw sparkles at people" had me in fits of giggles :) Look up Terry Pratchett's Colour of magic for his opinion on Barbarian heroes vs wizards lolololololololol

Yeah but most celebs dont spend their time beheading darkspawn or eviscerating Ogres and looting dragon dens so to speak :)

Don't care too much for "realistic" but I would like some more flattering ones though that may be part of the model's fault.

P.S. Apparently a lot of love on these forums.

i wonder just how much more protection does covering up all those parts do... considering the armor factors are the same for male or female.

This. I was actually surprised by how conservative the armor in this game was on women. I want some risque armor choices. :(

I should add I'm a woman, and I'm all for more revealing choices. It's not anti-feminist to want more attractive character models.

agreed whats the point in Armour if you just have to aim for the chest to get bare flesh.

sure im a guy but the female characters are not real females so im not attracted to them therefor all i see is a ridiculous design that leaves your heart mostly unprotected

I agree.

Its OK if you have some erotically focussed character, say a Bard or Mage, who is running around half naked and not caring about defense.

But if you wear armor, you are wearing protective gear. Midrifts and Necklines - no way.

sigh... realism should not be a huge factor in fantasy.... or else why call it fantasy? we might as well be playing survivor, which i suspect is not entirely reality as well.

I'm not sure how yall skipped this part BUT: Look at a male model right next to a female model wearing leathers!

What changes: The chest, and squat else. Guys get the bare legs and arms and endure a skirt, the exposed neckline....so it's the Chest some of yall are raving mad over. If you took the time to check the leather's design on a male you'd have noticed how similar they are.

It's bad leather armor design, makes me want to yell, "I am Sparticus!!" so, I'd kindly like you to place blame where it is proper. And not on your male gaming compatriots who like the skimpy look and had nothing to do with this leather armor. I mean, we're guys...the sexier the better!

Edit: as an over-sight I forgot about the "dog collar" which truly might be the more demeaning object on the whole suit. I can't say I like it, seems like an afterthought addition.

heck... if a sexy female outfit (on top of the city wall) could stop the tracks of a few hundred enemies... why not? Or do the girls have something else to say about that?

Heh, I was watching Legend of the Seeker where one of the models, err opps I mean actress is running around in a black leather cat suit and the other is in white with black leather under it... and I guess I thought the armor here was rather tame. The weapons are straight out of final fantasy because you'd be gutted by a real 2.5 lb broadsword by the time you got one of those monster blades in action...
