It seems that I stumbled on some sort of super leech glitch.

I was playing with my Asari Adept when suddenly I noticed that my powers would not hit the target, neither would I do any damage with pistol or melee attack. Worst thing was that trying to revive fallen squad member would do nothing.

Power use animations would still play and ammo depleted. However I could not get more ammo either via the ammo stacks on the area or thermal clip equipment. The enemies ignored me even if I stood right next to them.

After couple of waves running around helplessly waving my arms, I noticed that I would still get damage from swarmers, so I ran to give a Brute
a nice warm hug. After I was revived everything was back to normal. Unfortunately in wave 11 the same thing happened again. Luckily, we still got a full extraction so at least that worked.

Has anybody else encountered this or any ideas how to avoid this? It’s rather embarrassing when you play with strangers.

Were you downed before noticing the glitch? Perhaps insta-reviving before using a gel or a teammate getting to you? Did you notice any floating off/under the map?

Nope, don't *think* I had been down even once during the mission. The brute knocked me (and anyone trying to help me) out several times of course; to endless delight of my temmates. :/ But that was the only time I was out, in wave 11 I definetly didn't drop before the glich. Also, no floating or other sillines.

Yeah, same thing happened to me several times where I could not shoot, use powers, revive or use my equipment. The only way to fix it was by purposely getting knocked out and then revived. I was playing with a Turian Soldier and don't think it's a glitch, just the typical crap with the servers.

You have my sympathies; it's happened to me as well. All you can really do is let the other players know you're having technical difficulties...

I had this happen with my engineer this week, and when I died my character laid there while my camera shot into the air like the vanguard glitch. Very odd.

Did the brute knocking you about cause you to clip with any of the surrounds? What I suspect is that all these (and the Vanguard/out-of-body glitch) are related to clipping, meaning your char is in illegal game space and the servers try to compensate and you glitch (possibly due to a small bit of lag).

I've had similar experiences where none of my powers or firing button worked, but I could still take damage. End of wave, or grabbing cover, or dying and being properly rezzed always worked.
