I'm not convinced that the homing grenades will act like other grenades (i.e. a set inventory rather than a cooldown power). I think it will be a cooldown power. I could be wrong, but if both grenades are inventory rather than cooldown, then weapon weight becomes irrelevant to this character. How often do you think you will need to set up a supply pylon? Once every 10 seconds max? Probably not even that much. If this is the case and it is the only traditional power then the demolisher could be outfitted with whatever heavy weapons you want and it would still have no impact on the usage of his (or her) powers.

This, and like I said earlier, I imagine that a class with grenades only will quickly get boring. I like you believe the homing grenade is a cooldown power.

Unlimited grenades make biotics obsolete. Realy, grenade gear and overpowered guns already did that though.


Oh, projectile powers get dodged 50% of the time too.

The "SPEC FOR PYLON OR YOU SUXX" troll demand threads here are going to be epic.  Pylon Demos on restock duty will be the new unwritten rule standard for PUGS on par with every Infiltrator being responsible for every objective and revive in every game.

Imagine Demolisher WITHOUT pylon.
Demolisher in the game -> another player switches to nade user -> Sorry bro, no pylons today kthxbye -> trolling achievement unlocked.

On the other hand, 4 demo squads will be a blast. I wonder if 4 demolishers will beat the speed record on glacier.

Or until we get Platinum. Seriously, the new classes "sound" a bit OP and they surely have some quite unique abilities, but I think we should only judge them after we tried them on the highest difficulty...

Homing grenades are already in the games. Its those grenades that the Cerberus troopers throw that travel over impossibly long distances and seem to know exactly which way you're going to run or combat roll. I think I've been killed by more "homing" grenades than Phantoms.

You're not doing it right. Grenades are one of the best ways to take advantage of biotics. Lol Drell Adept much?

On a class that has two out of three powers as Grenades pretty much NEEDS another grenade refill method. Unless they recode grenades it will be a common pool for the grenades. IE: If you take Capacity on both (Assuming 3 max for homing) you'll have six grenades (11 with level 5 Grenade gear) and throwing EITHER grenade will deplete it for both. That's how it works in SP and I don't see a hard coding change for just this class happening.

Could have some interesting implications on your personal survivability (trading durability for damage output), something like removing your shields entirely/piecewise for each grenade supplied or something.
