What happened to good American animation like Batman TAS? Why anime? If it has to be anime, why not something more realistic like Legend of Korra style or something?

EDIT: Come to think of it though, isn't this a CG movie? That would explain the odd looking style of the poster.

No, it's a 2D anime - the studio producing it (which I can't remember at the moment) showed the character art sheets for the project a while ago.

Still waiting when Bioware can drop all this cartoony--like crap and go for a more realistic look like the art style of Young Justice or Legend of Korra.

Young Justice isn't something I'm familiar with, but Legend of Korra and the Avatar series are incredibly outside the norm for animation, in quality and cost. It's not a standard.

This. If they ever do a 'proper' movie, I would prefer it to be Advent Children-style rather than live action. But I guess this would be horrendously expensive and have a more niche market.

when FF the spirits within came out in 2001 it was and still is amazing why can't they do it like that instead of the manga type anime that doesn't suite the ME series
