Since you didn't like it Mass Effect 3 clearly doesn't derserve a good score.

7/10 is a good score.

No, that's mediocre.

No that would be 5-6/10. 7/10 is above average. It's not exactly advance math here.

Which is why it should be 5/6.

OP is pretty much 100% accurate in his assessment. The game is definitely a solid 7 or 8 out of 10.

Obviously, everyone can have a different opinion... fact is there are people out there (including BSN) with awful taste.

When I hear someone say ME3 is a 10/10, to me that's like saying angry birds is a 10/10 and is the best game ever made. Everyone is entitled to have awful taste in games and no sense. Like people who drive the Nissan Cube in bright neon pink.

So in other words, people that disagree with you suck, and should have no right to an opinion of a game they played.  I understand.

What I'm saying is people who are saying ME 3 is a 10/10 are people who wouldn't see a difference between a McDonalds Hamburger and a steak at Ruth's Chris or the Rosewood Grill in Las Vegas or not see the difference between an Audi R8 and a Toyota Corolla.

I'm not saying they suck, I'm saying their taste is different. As described above.

Some people think microwave dinners are fantastic , and taste amazing. Some think a pepperoni hot pocket is better than eating at a 5 star restaurant. They are entitled to feel that way.

75 perfect scores is laughable. I recall even ten years ago only a few games each gen got 9's. Now all big budget games do.

When Ocarina of Time came out, there were hardly any perfect 10 scores. Now, they give perfect 10's like it's nothing.

I don't even know where they got 75 perfect scores from. Metacritic doesn't even have 75 total scores.

Likely some obscure websites.

Or it's more shenanigans from EA marketing.

If everybody drove A8's, wouldn't that make them cheaper than a Corolla?  Supply and demand?  The fact is, for me, and that is the very important part of that statement, I can quit the game just before you come to in London at the beam, and be satisfied with the game.  I'd have cheered literally if the game had ended there.  To me, that would have been the ultimate ending, the other "flaws" in the game I have already paid as much attention to as I intend to.  Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and, despite the bad press, and people on Amazon marking postive feedback about the game as spam, I'm glad I bought and played it.  Of course, that last bit doesn't do any legitimate beefs about the game any credit, as I see my 14 year old grandson doing something like that, if he didn't like a game.

So, sorry you didn't like it, or didn't like parts of it enough that they jaded you about your entire experience, but that doesn't mean that I'd prefer McDonald's to Red Lobster.  The really funny thing about this is, I despise shooters, but loved this whole series, even if it is hard to play ME1 after playing 2 and 3.  Mechanics issues there, changes that I preferred over 1, but not really flaws with the game, just preferences.

Something we can agree on, I also find it hard to play ME1 after the mechanical improvements in ME2 and ME3!

This is the best way I can describe why ME3 disappoints:

I'll use tom and jerry as an example.

Jerry get's stuck inside a steel cage and he can't get out. It is stated clearly that he is trapped inside. Tom tries to search the galaxy for a key to unlock Jerry's cage so he free him (in this version let's say they are friends)

After Tom is searching for the key for 2 entire movies going on various adventures, in the third movie Jerry reaches into his pocket and unlocks the cage door and walks out.

Does that scenario make any sense? Well, that's exactly how I see ME3 based solely on the information given to the player in ME1 and ME2.

It is a fun shooter, but completely nonsensical.

I would give the game an 8/10. Don't get me wrong it was fun it had great moments, but at the trilogy it is the weakest link.

The sprites are only a minor nuisance i would much rather they just not be in the game and have empty space, but this is minor gripe.

Whoever made the journal system deserves to be beaten, I can't fathom how you can have a very effective journal system in the past 2 games and then have a horrible system at the third, but again not game breaking just annoying.

Lack of side missions in comparison to ME 1 and ME 2, I would have like to see even just a few different template side missions while recovering war assets.

The EMS system was annoying especially considering it's pretty much pointless.

The lack of a primary reaper antagonist i.e. Harbinger.

I won't go into the ending in detail as this subject has been beaten to death but, had the ended right after Anderson dies I would have been more fulfilled. Only ending in the trilogy that did not leave me fulfilled and excited for the future of the franchise.

I can understand why reviewers dished out high reviews, but justly or not we hold Bioware to a higher standard then most developers.

I realize some people may think I'm trolling when I say this, but really, with the set up the Reapers had at the beam in London, it should have been lights out right there, and really, I'd have loved that ending.  I get that a lot of others wouldn't though, since, as Garrus points out "Humans think they have to save everybody".  The simple truth is, sometimes you can't, and if it had ended right there, I'd have been ecstatic.  I never got to see the non EC endings, so I have no clue, but all I saw them as was appeasing the "save the world" crowd, which isn't inherently bad, as they probably make up the majority of the market.

I would be completely fine with any ending, good or bad, save the world or everyone dies...

...as long as it made sense.

If harbinger blew shep away and killed everyone right there at the beam and it ended...I have no problem at all with it. Because that could have definitely happened.

I'd have to give it a 9/10

I love the mass effect series, all the way from number one. Each one was amazing in my eyes, they were fun and still give me hours of play time.
Multiplayer made it even better, I can play even more!

However this is a biased reviewed, sure the ending left me a little dissatisfied, but I'm content with the extended cut. It wasn't I was expecting, but its not complete trash to me. Yes, it was shorter, and I would have loved to have more quest hubs like Noveria from Mass effect 1, and having more 'trivial actions' like drinking at my bar or shutting the window covers on the Normandy like in number 2.

Overall, I still loved the story and the gameplay. Could it have been better? Yes, everything can be better. But I still enjoyed the game. So what if I'm a little biased, it's still one of the best series I've ever played. I'll always be a fan of mass effect, I won't let the ending of the last game ruin the entire series for me.

edit: And sure, perhaps the ending doesn't make too much sense, but it's still there. An ancient civilization had a war with synthetics and they created the crucible to solve the problem and keep organics save. Over time the crucible had to do more and more drastic measures to keep organics safe, and ended up creating the first reaper. Then the cycle continues, as the AI (crucible) continues to keep organics safe with its odd method.

That's the way I've taken it.

Although I heard about the other ending ideas that they had: About the dark energy and stuff. That would have been cool.

But I do hate the dreams, and for the AI being a child, maybe it has some sort of memory reading so that it can change its appearance to what would look most friendly to the person its talking too?

So because Brovikk thinks the game is exceptional and doesn't agree with your opinion, he biased.

Riiiiight.

Right. I've taken one of his posts to form this opinion. (Sarcasm)

Because you have a different opinion, no. Because you stick your fingers in your ears and shut your eyes tight to any opinion other than yours dismissing it out of hand yes. That's what Biased generally means.

Calling someone who disagrees with you biased makes yourself pretty biased...which is quite ironic...

You don't see me calling mad hannar Biased do you? No. because I've read his posts, and he's also conceeded a point or two on a thread here and there. That means he listens when people speak and doesn't just hear words. And even when he disagrees a good portion of his posts are well thought out. From Brovikk the most of what I've seen boils down to "You're all wrong, this is the best game evah and you're all unreasonable idiots for saying anything contrary to that!"

It seems a number of people are redefining what 10/10 actually means. It's like the concept of mathematics (and I'm not a mathematician) just flies out the window. In basic division a 10/10 yields 1.00. 8/10 yields .80. Multiply any resulting number from a ?/10 scale by 100, and you'll get a percentage. Why am I going through this? 100% is the max.

I know in other areas people will talk about anything above 100% in terms of what is gained (200% revenue gain), but everyone understands what 100% means. It means perfection and perfection means that nothing more can be done to make it better. Acknowledging that nothing is perfect and giving something a 10/10 (10 out of 10 possible chances where anything might not measure up) just means you don't know what you're talking about.

No offense but I do feel you're a drone. In my mind, there's other explanations as to why people think the last 10 minutes makes sense and is good writing. Most of them are more unpleasant then simply calling you a drone. You can have your opinions and all, but when you look at how the majority of fans said was bad, and how a lot of literary writers said it was bad, then at some point you gotta stop and think to yourself.

For example the movie "Freddy Got Fingered" actually makes me laugh. But I know very well that it is a wretched wretched film. I cannot accept the opinion of Pro Enders. I simply cannot. I know I should respect other's opinions but not in this case. I've see Pro Enders say they enjoyed the ending, but completely understand why people hate it. To me that's fine. But then there are Pro Enders who loved the ending and try to convince us that we're wrong and it went over our heads. They can ****** off.
