A vanguard breaks during the beginning of the game and they continue to stay throughout the game instead of leaving?
Do you consider this leeching?

Break, you mean like floating helplessly around in the air but still trying to fight?
I don't really consider it leeching, but it definately isn't helping the team.
Wiser to leave so that a non-bugged player can join.

When a Vanguard glitches, even if it's a friend (especially if it's a friend), I tell them to leave and try to rejoin. No point in having a null teammate.

If it happened before the first objective was done, you were basically just leeching.

Hell ****ing no. It's a glitch they didn't intentionally commit.

Sometimes the vanguard gets invulnerability and the enemies (especially banshees) cant do anything but stare at you and congregate around the vanguard, allowing for very easy kill streaks. But you should probably just leave and rejoin of this happens, unless you are already in wave 6 or above.

If you break before wave 6 you should quit out because that's a long time to be a useless teammated. After that I'm not really sure.
Regardless, I would say only play off-host vanguards in private matches with friends. That way you can quit and rejoin the game.

Glitching Vanguard = good decoy (if he automatically reviving after each death). So it can be even useful.

Depending on where they get stuck, they could act as an excellent decoy, funneling all enemies into that area.
It happened to my team once on Reactor. At the end of every round, a few Primes had congregated around the immortal asari. It was hilarious.

No. Not their fault. Leechers leech on purpose.

Meh, gold can be completed by 2 or 3 people.

Depends. Once I glitched out and I drew ALL of the Banshee's and Brutes, even managed to kill a few (heavy melees and smash) If you can help, no. If you can't, maybe.

How can you rejoin ?

Depends on how early on in the match. If they wipe out in the first few rounds, they're bad and they should feel bad..

if its after wave 6 then no. they earned the 1st 2 sets. thats why if i'm leader i'll make it private and use the party chat system so you can drop out and get back in and keep your stuff

I would say they should leave if it happens on wave 9 or earlier, but it seems that there's a much lower chance of someone joining your game in the late waves that it doesn't matter either way.

yeah that usually happens, but were still one guy down and hacks will go slower.

No its not leeching but he can be very useful depending on map, but particularly in Jade. Better decoy than a decoy power. Everyone gravitates to the floating guy and you can shoot the enemy in the back

If that happens before wave 8-9, you better leave so maybe somebody joins. Once I glitched with Phoenix vanguard on wave 5, helped team with wave 6 objective and quit.

not leeching, they didn't do it on purpose. end of story, leechers that leech on purpose are worthy of malice, not someone who accidentally glitches.
Would you blame someone for leaving the game early when their xbox crashed?

No, it's only leeching if it's intentional. If it's an accident it's fine.

I don't know the equivalent technique for PSN or Steam, but on Xbox Live, click you Xbox button, select "messages", click to the right to get your recent players list, and select one of the teammates you were playing with. Then select "join session in progress". Unless a random has been sucked into the game in the meantime, the slot should be open.
I have a question about Vanguards breaking. I don't use them too often (doesn't feed well into my skillset and I tend to camp and die a lot) but I have seen it happen to others. It never has happened to me, so far. Is it like the rocket glitch, where it's attached to a specific set of actions, or is it just a "sometimes randomly happens" thing...?

Does it count as leeching if I try to do it during this weekend's operation?

Probably. Getting a glitch intentionally is leeching. Which is highly frowned upon.
