Meh, the sheer number of times the finishing moves actually missed their target entirely really put a dumb look on already clunky combat. If they can get it right, then sure, otherwise don't bother. The I missed the ogre killing move is hilarious.
Anybody else miss the finishing moves from DA:O?

I don't miss finishing moves at all. Getting raped while stuck in an animation lock was one of the worst things about Dragon Age.

You and I must be playing different games then...
Finishing moves never missed their target.
Maybe you're thinking of Divinity 2's fatality ability?

You never had the floating Ogre and Dragon kills? I get them a couple times in every playthrough, the dragon ones are rarer though. Something about being to close to a wall or something breaks the animations every now and then. Origins had a lot of dumb animations overall though, like the shield bash in the back that turns you around or Shale taking damage and it borks her animations as well. It could look really awful at times.Elton John is dead wrote...

Yes, i miss the finishing moves! Hope they will come back for DA3. Maybe they can add the option of switching it on/off. This way everybody gets happy!
