I'd like a detailed run down of the classes you use. How effective the powers, situations you ran into and how the class handles, what things is the class bad at, other situations you think the class would be good in, what would you rate it? Etc

Wave 11 on the first try of Platinum? Even if you are a good player, it is disappointing to hear. Do not take it as an insult, but I would have figured the new difficulty would take practice and time to get past.

Noticed this as well, something isn't right about the reported numbers.

Either way I'm a bit disapointed that any group could have achieved wave 11 in one try. Something tells me we don't have the full story. Either it is not tuned as it will be for release, or more likely it's really not much more difficult than gold which is pretty easy for a lot of players these days.


Edit. I guess the numbers could be correct if they didn't bump the XP gains from gold and we have no reason to believe they would.

I believe it.  If two competent players are all that's required then my assumptions were right on the money.  I sense a WHOLE lot of disappointed Gold Pros to say the least.  The nerf Balance Wars of BSN shall continue.

Tell me... did you have a chance to equip gear and such?  What was the map and enemy?  Most important of all were the no ammo boxes rumor true at all?

or the devs are incredibly bad at this game that they managed to finish platinum only once and most gamers will be disapointed by its difficulty.

So if a random group can nearly clear Platinum on the first go... ya little disappointed. Skilled players or not if this is any indication randoms will be clearing Platinum almost as often as gold.

I suspect tho he was playing gold or perhaps they have "detuned" it for the showing so players can experience the new classes. Here's hoping anyways.

And i agree that looks like average gold score, tho the credits he posted before had been more

So far my overkill loadout offers a dps of roughly 2500dps for 8 seconds with 2 cloak frames of 4500

This is too much for gold and i want to see if platinum offers finally the proper arena for it

I have my doubts, as well.  Read my post on the first page of this thread.  The guy says he hasn't been in yet due to the line, but said earlier in a thread he had already seen the Slayer in action.   I feel like we are being trolled.

In another thread, the developers were going on about how difficult Platinum is, etc, that I had fully expected that I would die + use up all my 5 medi-gels by Wave 1 on my first try.

Your comment just made me wonder that perhaps Platinum isn't THAT bad after all.

Though having to do 3 BEs to kill Cannibals does sound rather tough. Hehehe.

@ Stance Punk I would put anilation around every corner and if anything does get sucked up DC wierd thing BE did'nt work sometime.The DC was the best biotic powers i have used. The anilation not so much. It very difficult the 3rd guy got downed 11 times and bottom 22 times the top guy 6 times and myself 9 times. This class is a very good medic and support i would give it 4.7 out of 5 stars. And finally i think it goes well with other biotics and infiltrators

Im not buyin in - Bioware has inidcated there are 'suprises' in the way platinum plays out - AZZKIKN420 hasn't made any indication he saw anything but a slightly harder level w/ a few more enemies...

I also can't imagine someone at Comic Con getting a chance to play highly anticipated DLC isn't going to fully spec out their class... i mean - don't we all know by now that the 5th & 6th ranks can be fairly well spec'ed out in your sleep? Wann kill stuff harder - go top - want more defensive, go low - etc... and to leave 2 whole ranks at zero when he could have taken each of them to 3 just to get a basic idea? no.. not buyin it.
