The characters should have quoted Shepard by saying "I should go" and just left this crappy excuse for anime.

"Highly anticipated prequel".

Anticipated by who, exactly?

Looked awful, the characters look too much like any other generic character you'd find in any manga/anime. Nothing special...

Get some rest and then lets try this againImage IPB  I won't hold it against you.

Yet that wasn't an issue at all.

You feel that everyone's view on animation in general is subjective.

I see that you don't know that subjective is another word for opinion, which means people do have different likes and dislikes.

Again, feel free to prove it (Spoiler: You cannot)Image IPB

Its only been rage especially when you e freaking out about the narrator's voice.

Yet you don't practice what you preach and you just keep on digging yourself deeper into a hole based on those petty insults.

I'm starting to notice most of this hate, even though its vrery minor, is coming from Paragon being an Anime and less people would have less problems about the animation if it was a regular cartoon.

Yet Halo: Legends did pretty well just like both Dead Space movies, Dante's Inferno, and Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker.

Yet this is very ironic based on the generic characters in RPGs. Haters gonna hate.

I am not really interested in anime, but I'll give it a fair chance.

Hopefully that voice over guy isn't involved... sounded like a homeless man's version of Keith David * I think that's who we was trying to sound like at least* also, if this IS the folks that made Ghost in the Shell they need to up their animation quality to what GITS was... this looks like some backpacking Saturday Morning cartoon stuff.

The reason why GitS has that look is based on Shirow Masamune's style and he is the IP owner of GitS, which is why we get some of that quality in shows and movies.   Funimation has a lot of varying styles that they can pull from just any other Publisher can do, but they're one of the few that can produce a handful of their own series.  Btw Production IG also had Gonzo to help them in GitS since the release of the 1st series.

You could easily say this about most of the current lineup on Disney, Nick, Cartoon Network while the animation style usually isn't the main selling point.  One of the best cartoons of the 2000s was Samurai Jack and it was far from amazing or great animation.

A guy with glasses ?

I thought gene therapy made poor vision a thing of the past.

Filament wrote...

oh god why, why is there a stereotypical anime guy with glasses as the f*#&ing engineer.

So I'm not the only one who thought that! The only real exposure I've had to anime is from Adult Swim so my base exposure is very low but in every show they've had on there, there's always the guy with the glasses. For some reason his glasses constantly become opaque while he's making a long winded speech and he'll probably fix them with one finger nonchalantly which brings them back to translucency. I guess all they need now are those water drop things on the side of the head plus some guy who inexplicably always has his eyes shut and it'll be complete.

Also, that looks nothing like Vega tbh. :/

Bleh, gonna have to pass on this one. That art style is just too horrendous. And what the heck is up with the blonde kid with glasses?

That's because they're in their late teenage years, early twenties. They're fresh recruits.

Some of the shorts were pretty good in my opinion. Some had real heart.

And only one of them looked as boring as this.

Why am I even posting around here anymore.

As someone who went in expecting completely terrible animation...I got to say that it was better than I thought. I'll probably give it a watch, just because I love Mass Effect.
But for the love of god those Krogan look messed up.

I kinda liked it. I've seen more than my fair share of anime with really, really bad art.

It's done by the same people who did Ghost in the Shell, so it's gonna have that same style, which I kinda like. Just be glad it's not being made by the same artist of One Piece or something, then you REALLY have something to **** about (note: said art style is fine, but NOT appropriate for Mass Effect).

As for the voice acting, remember that all you've heard up until now is ONE person talking. There's no way you can adequately judge the voice acting of an entire series on the merits of one guy doing one trailer who may not even make an appearance in the anime itself.
