Backpedal to cover whilst keeping fire on a Banshee; repeat this till each Banshee dies. Then move on to the Phantoms (just need to hold ground there), then kill the Pyros (hold ground again).

If backed into a wall, hit Ops Survival and run to a better position (where you have room to fallback). If lag, you have to think ahead in regards to running past the Pyros. Phantoms and Banshees are usually easy to run past.

Now, if you run into another group, then that's going to be a bother, but if your teammates are as good as you, they should be dealing with that group.

It's uh, a little more difficult than just backpedaling.  You can't even do that on just gold, I imagine you will get mowed down in under a second on platinum.  You can't run passed phantoms unless you are a drell or have an adrenaline mod equipped.

Intial thoughts on my opening team:

Asari Adept - Stasis phantoms + biotic explosions
Salarian Engineer - Decoy for Geth
Human Engineer - Combat drone seems to ****** off the Banshee every now and then
Infiltrator - Someone needs to do the uploads with all that around the map

Will it work?  No clue, but that would be my starting team for this

Mic is overrated. I have completed innumerable gold matches without anyone saying a single word on PC. There were many threads and users saying they would kick anyone without a mic for gold because it was necessary too. I don't have one nor will I bother with one.

People that aren't team players will be bad regardless of having a mic. People often don't listen to suggestions anyway. People can say something and do another. Saying I will res you then well that hunter or turret has other ideas. I'll use my rocket then that person is staggered and cannot draw it out le wipe occurs. It can be helpful and it can be hurtful to the team.

I prefer to play with people in my list but when I am in public lobbies I adpat to what they are doing. Going off lone wolf on gold would just get me killed even if they are doing something stupid like camping near the landing zone on hydra. I just lock down the long corridor and go back to help if they need it.

The best strategy is to stick with at least one other person and play like a team. Try to revive them coordinate fire and powers to cause tech and biotic explosions.

Gear and equipment are far better indicators of how they are going to do. Everything else cannot be measured in worth until you played at least one game with them. I mostly give a group two games because sometimes people have bad luck and bad games. I always play random. I know I've had them where it seems every mob is targetting my character.

You forgot what should be #1 on your list. Set enemy type and equip and use characters accordingly. An AA is not as good against geth and engineer is better and a salarian or geth is best. This will make it much easier.

I was there yesterday Mike Gamble was pretty confident that no is getting extracted this week end and said if it happens his handing out gifts. He also mentioned only one team of devs so far have been extracted

When I reading you post I noticed you said at least N7 350, This insults me becuase I am N7 270 and I have everything.

N7 is still not an indictor of anything useful, I think a N7 of 120 minimum if they have their rares maxed.

It is a for sure thing your character needs to be maxed out at level 20. BE even let us recreate our charcters from home its not for the faint at heart.

Detonate drone with stun and Aoe stun overload specced human engineers x 4. All equipped with disruptor ammo and a weapon of choice. Tech Bursts and Staggers galor.

I disagree. I can have an infiltrator just as effective at level 14 as 20. Rarely used trees or the last level of health don't help all that much if you are just going to cloak shoot most of the time. Other characters have whole treees that are worthless and little to no benefit to maxing out fitness. I'd say 16+ is a good measure because I never play 20s because I want the match to gain me something you know XP and credits.

Do the enemy spawn points ignore proximity? If they don't spawn behind you, FBW might still be viable.

i say minimum of 120. you should have leveled every class to 20 at least once before playing platinum.

I would definitely say so. I used Salarian Infiltrator with all revolutions focusing on Shield, I had Strong Hold 4, Cyclonic Modulator 4 + shield boost revolution of energy drain. 

Still, phantoms can strip my shield in 2 hits (after I used energy drain) if I recall correctly.

To be fair most the people playing probably weren't playing with skilled friends. I know I would stand a better chance on Platinum with Mythiic, Relix and Bechter at my side than... "those three guys".

Also Map will have played a part (No one has any experience on spawn patterns, camping spots or anything else considered tactically advantageous on Rio, Vancouver or London). Again I fancy my chances better with White, Glacier or Goddess than with any of those.

Quick question: Has the spawn system been changed at all? The original sees enemies spawn two points away from you at any one time and it's what makes Glacier speedrunning viable. Make spawn patterns random and we can only camp. And it's a bad idea to  camp against Reapers.

We played mainly on new maps, I haven't looked at the spawn very much. 
I would assume that it's still five spawn points.

I definitely won't be doing any PUG's with Platinum mode. Finding decent teammates on Gold is hard enough.

My N7 rank is 120 just because I have no interest to promote my characters (is there any reason to do so?) and getting kicked from lobby because of that would be quite silly. N7 rank above 120 doesn't tell anything but your interest in promoting characters .

 i would still suggest promoting. you are being stubborn to prove a point and it is going to get you kicked lol.
 you will not be given time to explain yourself, you will probably get all 3 kick votes before you even load in..
 if you really like the game, and want to be taken seriously you need to promote at least a handful of times.
 i can honestly admit i will kick you without even looking at your guns if your n7 level is below 200 in gold.
 sorry. im not alone, i will just admit it.

^^^ This. Lately I've been inundated by the amont of medicore/garbage players with N7 ratings in the 1000-2000 range on gold thinking they're gods. I'm N7 270 and will not promote unless another weekend event demands it. I love being told in lobby I would be "allowed" to stay  by high N7 ranks 2-3000's because they view it a challenge playing with 3 1/2 players. I stayed silent. After extraction I've stomped a mudhole in all their scores playing a BatSent (which was also "made fun of"). I am then promptly kicked from lobby.

Can I get a "cool story bro"?
