Playing ME1 made me realise what a mature, intelligent setting Mass Effect started out as.

Yet that isn't true at all.

I don't need to tell you that this makes no sense, do I?

Opinion is fact while you think otherwise.

Opinion, by definition, cnanot be fact.

Congratulations.

Stop saying "yet you..."

You've yet to use it correctly.

You already do by focusing on opinion instead of the facts.

How's that nostalgia Kool-Aid taste?

ME1 is inferior in every way to the two sequels. Not saying it's bad by any means, but no where near the quality of 2 & 3.

Mass Effect 2 and 3 were decent games but neither of them gave me the unforgettable experience I got from the first game, despite its flaws. It's not nostalgia when I can simply pick up the game right now (which I did a few months ago going through all three games) and still enjoy it just as much.

Not at all.

I listen to the music from ME1 from time to time. It is one of the things that really make the atmosphere for me. Listening to the music now makes me want to play the trilogy again from the beginning. However, I am still not sure about actually doing it, knowing what is waiting for me in ME3.

I have been thinking about it, and pretty much the only thing I am still missing is a proper reunion in the end of ME3. But that is just my opinion. I do agree on many of the points made in the OP, however.

Right now kind of hoping for some SP DLC for ME3, that would make the idea if re-playing more appealing. Or maybe give it a try now?

Even though I prefer ME1, but it is inferior and I won't let nostalgia get the better of me.

No, I debate with them. I only grow impatient with them when they ignore objective evidence and assert their views as fact.

Like how you're doing.

Finally someone who is thinking exactly like me. I actually played from ME1 to ME3 before playing the EC.. it helped a bit I guess. I like listening to Vigil ^_^ and Bioware kept speaking highly of what they had in store for us when the game released that made it seem like sp DLC would fix everything so.. fingers crossed

I see that you don't want to read your own comments.

I asked you what the "facts" are, but OK, reading comprehension is hard.

...That being said, you've managed to make nonposts for at least the last two pages. I honestly don't know how you do it--it must be a gift. Yo, furreal, with a little more practice, you'll be spewing bullsh*t with professional bullsh*tters in office. Just rub that bullsh*t all over your body like a greasy, chocolate cake.

Delicious cake.

Being called a bullsh*tter isn't an insult. Ninety-five percent of all careers involved in the humanities require bullsh*tting as a requisite skill.
