So here's another party make-up mind gobbling question.

So, I finishe the game without too much trouble, since was being an Arcane Warior + Spirit Healer, fitting two roles in one slot.

The party make-up was:

Alistair    - Tank
Shale      - DPS & Tank[?]
Leilana   - Ranged DPS archer

Now, I am planning to play a Human Noble that is focused upon dealing alot of damage.
I will spam potions to death due the unlimited flasks and elfroot supplies within two locations of the map.
So I don't really want Wynne into my party, unless you still can recommand her.

Planned party make up:

Shale  [ Tank ] Btw, what mode should I give him? Stoneheart or the other one that enables his powerful blows.
Myself [ DPS 2 hander ]

Please give me your thoughts about it and try to avoid using the earlier mentioned party members I already used so I can have a fresh playthrough but yet challenging and do-able playthroughs.

Thanks~!

Well after that you need a rogue and a mage. I recommend Leliana as Zev needs to be micromanaged to be effective. As for the mages, its up to u.

For me I prefer Shale on stoneheart mode since he tends to substitute for Alistair when I do bring him around. Anyways as a 2hander you will have to micromanage ur character a lot more to be effect (hence why I reckon Lel's better as your rogue archer).

A DW warrior however won't need much micromanaging.

2h warrior does just fine, seriously let the DW fanboism die. DW is better at killing trash, that's it. If you're using a mage with haste you'll be more than fine. If you don't want to use a mage for this run then I'd reccomend a rogue of some sort with bard spec. Without a mage your weakspot will be aoe control and captivating song is quite nice. Shale does very nicely as well especially with Pulverizing blows, though if you have friendly fire on I would limit it to two melee characters at most, quake can do a lot very fast.

That being said it's "easier" with a mage, heals/buffs like haste and lifeward is quite nice, potions are useless if your character gets overwhelmed/grabbed/paralyzed for example but it's certainly not impossible or overly difficult to succeed without one. Just make sure one of your warriors is a templar.

Wynne for healing and then Zevran for your rogue needs or Morrigan usin frost spells.

Without rogue you would lose some loot and disarming traps, but you would have more control on battles.

Looks like you played the good guy in your first playthrough. I'd suggest you go with Zevran, Morrigan and Sten. Although Zevran doesn't appear until after your first finished Blight quest and he completely sucks as a rogue. I'd skip Shale for your next playthrough, if you want you can replace him with Ogren.

Spec Morrigan into spirit healer and you get group heal and revive. That takes care of your healing needs. She also starts with some herbalism so max that out and she can make every poultice there is fairly early.

She'll leave you before the archdemon fight, but by that time you ought to be brimming with poultices.

I prefer Lelianna to Zevran because you can grab her earlier. Give her two daggers, teach her to backstab (set her tactics) and just go to town. She can also do crowd control if you complete her bard line.

Morrigan only leaves if you refuse her, otherwise she'll be in that fight.

As for the rest: Leliana or Zev for the rogue. Leliana is better at the beginning for Rogue, while Zev requires tweaking...as someone already said. However, either can fill that role if you wish.

Morrigan is a good damage dealer who can heal while Wynn is the opposite. If you spec Wynn with Arcane Warrior and a good set of armour... she becomes a nigh unstoppable healing force. So it depends on what you want to focus on. Morrigan for a wholly damage oriented party or Wynn to offset the melee tendencies of that party. Either way is fine. Morrigan is more touchy with the influence events... some just don't make sense (she is inconsitent when dealing with demons especially), so be aware if she is always in your party.

If you wish to try a no magic party... either double up on Zev and Leliana or include your dog. The stun capabilities of the two rogues can be over-powering and dog is just a beast (metaphorically as well).
