Have a little faith.

The co-op mode supposed to pull plot progress and reputation values.
Where is reputation? The answer is Shepard. It involves a player save supposedly.

There will be something directly tied to the single player. Much more than war assets.

What I want to know is if it will be that the party leader gets to choose which of their Shepards is used, or if it just randomly chooses the Shepard from all of the people in the lobby.

I invoke Occam's razor and say it will be the host (squad leader).

I'm fine with that. But, what if host never played SP at all? Also, so few people use Occam's razor. Nice to see it pop up.

SOL? (I know I'm going to slap myself when it's explained, but I'm drawing a blank on it.)

That's speculation. At this point I doubt it, but anything is possible with BioWare...

@ Operating Wookie, I guessed it was * out of luck. And I was right Image IPB

Furthermore, I am going to go in a different direction and say that the reputation meter will be independant of host and will, in fact, change for each person. Shepard will not be shown in the game so no one will have to choose which save file they want loaded. Instead, the reputation meter will show after each game and will act just like levelling does for each player in-game.

That is assuming this is even correct...

However if it is, it could be strong support for PT, further closing the gap between SP and MP.

I just thought of something. The thing said six new co-op missions. What if these six missions were the six campaign N7 missions that you got and it's like the co-op some people wanted to be in ME3? Or better yet, the six most important priority missions. (Tuchanka, Citadel II, Rannoch, Cronos Station, Sanctuary, and Mars?) And, these levels are unlocked by campaign progress of the host. If that host has a Shepard that went through the entire campaign they're all available, but if not, and that Shepard is only partially through the campaign, those levels that the person has gone through are available as MP missions, possibly as a way to change choices made at key moments of the game.

So I had a thought,

What if the story based co-op mode gave you specific missions to do in place of the current weekend challenges we currently have? For example evey 1 or 2 weeks we get a new weekend operation that involves a real mission. It could be something other than earning x number of melee kills in horde mode but instead be something like infiltrating a Cerberus facility and rescue Mess Sergeant Gardner (that would make my day) or defend a colony from a Collector attack or take out reaper creation devices on Earth (like dragons teeth from last weeks op description).

Now I know this would take a lot of different maps for this to work but the datamined I believe they said we would get 6 new maps. So there could be at least 6 story based weekend ops as well as creating missions from enhanced versions of the maps we have now.

And during these weekend story ops we will interact with NPCs gaining Paragon/Renegade/Reputation points. And after the op is done we go back to horde mode until the next op.

idk just throwing something out there...

I think you're expecting too much Kenny, at best we can hope for something to tie MP closer to the SP..

At worst, it's all a hoax.

And even the gaming sites were picking it up as so-called 'news' yesterday.

That means the answer is indeed 'yes'. You should definitely post your theory here lol.

1. I figure, there's no issue with getting hopes up. If it crashes and burns, then it will be a glorious crash and burn.

2. How would reputation influence the game other than being there then? Image IPB

Or, even better than a crash and burn, it turns some of the people that don't like the ending into Batman.(there's got to be at least one rich person who plays Mass Effect and didn't like the ending.) Then, BioWare can be equated with making Batman as well as a massive controversy and fan outcry with each of its sequels. (I don't know what the ME2 hatred was about, but I have seen it a few times. Do you guys know what it was about?)

Other than what got the character forums locked, I would say the lack of emphasis on actually stopping the Reapers and more about characters who weren't important later in the series. Image IPB

Still, it also could be because some people felt it was ridiculous to have unchangeable outfits that have no place on the battlefield on most female squadmates. Image IPB

Or it could be because of the fact that it moved away from ME1. Image IPB

Or the fact you're forced to work with the inept organization of Cerberus that's stupid evil pretending to be morally gray. Image IPB

Or even the fact that unless you bought DLC, you made little to choose from for weapons and armor. Image IPB

The avalanche was really fun, but I preferred the Cain. When I first saw that mushroom cloud I was like, "I LOVE THIS GUN!"
Of course, I've always been very curious about nuclear and nuclear style weapons.

LOL. The first time I used it was in the Overlord one, at the end in one of the rooms. It was a bit small for that space.
But, the coolest weapon in the series? I'd have to say the reegar carbine. Love that lightning thrower.

I'm pretty sure the Mattock was standard, however to answer your original question Ignis, I believe a lot of people were upset about Harbinger and just the overall direction ME2 in regards to the reaper plot... I don't understand it either...

I have a special friend who is going to be doing a comparison on the Alamo and the Miracle of Palaven, should be interesting :)

I kinda understand the reason people were upset with the ME2 plot regarding the Reapers, but I still enjoyed ME2 overall because the characters
