Actually the prison rape scene from American History X would work better... If it wasnt a TOS violation, I'd provide a link. lol

Great theory. The way I see it, and I apologize if its been brought up above, I am getting too impatient to read all 50 pages, but I feel they could add this and/or Indoctrination Theory without going back on their word that they will not change the ending by simply following through with an original plan that includes both these theories. That all of this was part of their original plan all along. Yes, cynics will say that they were full of **** the whole time, that I'm grasping at straws, which I am. I want to believe there is still the chance BW has an ace up their sleeve...

I agree, BioWare have written so much better in the past, to streamline everything into this ridiculous synth vs organic "inevitable" war is just bad. Especially when we've seen SO much in the story preceeding it that contradicts the Catalyst's assertions.

Jon Lithgow is awesome. The funny thing about that link is,he actually says making it for free would also go a long way to cleaning up his public image. Which could also be applicable here lol.

If they did, we could all go "Oh, what an absolutely EPIC save! See, that's how BioWare roll!" and generally be all supportive and stuff. How's that not an attractive option for them, instead of sinking down with Captain Hudson's mad mission in which Mass Effect is both the ship and the whale? Do they just hate us that much by now or what?

lol the hate it's definitely plausible. There's been enough crap dished out that they could feel that way indeed. But I think for the most part. The ones that are left have at least some shred of hope or faith in them left and are praying for something miraculous to happen. I know I am.

The thing of it is, at the start, because the backlash was so large and widespread. There were often haters and trolls in there that never even played the game, and just wanted to join in on the "fun" by abusing BioWare and their staff. Imo, now that that sort of passion has died down for most. The ones that are left are the ones that truly do care and still have faith.

It also depends on BioWare ability to take the constructive criticism effectively while ignoring the destructive stuff. I know from observing that Jennifer Hepler situation that certain BioWare staff weren't very professional in that incident. Jennifer herself included.

So let's hope the rest of BioWare aren't like that, or they've learnt a thing or two since then ; )

If we did win through "hit and run" tactics. Which we heard about in the SP campaign and MP operations as well no less.

Then it would be the more impressive display of "size isn't everything."

Yeah, you also need endurance, resolve, stamina, speed, agility, reach, flexibility, determination, and cunning.

War Assets:

Endurance: Krogan, Rachni, Elcor, Batarian and Geth
Resolve: Pretty much every race is determined to defeat the Reapers.
Stamina: Human, Krogan, Turian, Geth.
Speed: Human, Geth, Drell, Vorcha, Quarian, Asari. or any other race that's wearing an adrenaline module ; )
Agility: Human, Geth, Drell, Asari, Quarian, Vorcha, female Turians?
Reach: Turian, Human, Rachni, Asari.
Flexibility: Human, Drell, Asari, Vorcha, female Turian, Geth.
Determination: See resolve.
Cunning: Human, Quarian, Drell, Batarian, Asari
Intelligence: Quarian, Geth, Salarian, Hanar, Human. Asari, Rachni, Volus

Probably missed a couple, but that looks pretty damn good to me.

That's the beauty of the Multiplayer though, because you can actually see for your own eyes just how badly Krogans can trump Reaper ground forces.

Oh, good. I was hoping you'd make those connections. :)

Yeah, krogan are absolutely ridiculous against reapers.

Now if we did a "managed uplifting" of the Yahg, since they're going to get reaped anyway, you know: weapons and we supply transport, then gradually give them tech when they're ready for it, but no space ships because they're not ready for that. They're still 1950s tech level. The ground forces between the Krogan and Yahg would be just insane.

The Raloi are toast as well so they might as well fight.

So I have been on a literal almost 12 hour binge on youtube.

From Natural disasters, to Carl Sagan and Niel Degrasse Tyson, to Bill Maher... Lots of Bill Maher...

Then to illuminati, terrorism, back to Bill Maher, conpiracy theories involving 911 and illuminati. Back to Bill Maher.

With some joke and parody videos in between. Then.. While looking through the illuminati and educating myself on their New World Order. I came across something that related back to Mass Effect 3 ending (Like our brains always do, right?)

On page 41 I displayed Casey Hudon's notepad on motivations and speculations on the ending.

Now at first then we all assumed that when he said "Brave New World" he was referring to the book.

Na ah.... I think I've found something to sink Synthesis even further imo. While it does incorporate the book's version of a 'dystopia'.. It also just goes to show that "someone" still has to be running the show post-synthesis. Who else but the Leviathans? Now that they can interact with both organics and synthetics.

Well essentially. It further confirms that the post-Synthesis galaxy will either be a complete dystopia, or human beings will cease to exist.

In fact, for the Mass Effect world, it could be a combination of the two.

Furthermore... I've got it.

Do you remember the facility where you travel too to find Leviathan? Where they are all being controlled? Now while it might be a bit more severe... Did that looks like a sort of dystopia to you?

I do think Leviathans want Synthesis. They can then bridge that gap between Organics and Synthetics and claim total control over the galaxy.

Ok, I have to ask:
How does the Halloween-MP-Event fit into this at all?

Sorry, but this question needed some air

lol. I feel like I'm missing a pun here....

Basically, the same way I haven't updated the OP for over a month. It doesn't.

The thing about the MP (and I glossed over this in the OP) is that not everything is canon.

It's not canon that you will be sniping Cerberus heads like a bawws on Palaven's Moon, Condor.. Or London for that matter.

The only thing canonical that is happening from the MP - SP transition is that these soldiers exist (yes, even Volus) and these soldiers are helping the war effort through operations.

So to point the MP canon would be.
- Soldiers exist (per Hackett private message he send Shepard in the campaign outlining the dealio about these troops).

- MP operations that each of these troops are doing to bring Hackett and the galaxy more information on the Reaper war. (While whether the success of these operations is canon is yet to be determined).

I know. But the question was there in my head since the event started. :D

And I actually like the idea of this topic (that's why the question popped up anyway ^^), but MP is starting to get really crazy.

Yea, I've noticed. If you want my opinion on that...

I think they are just biding time with "fun" events because the operations fall in line with dlc schedule. It's no secret there's a rumour that Omega was delayed a month by microsoft's schedule.

And he said we're anti-BioWare?   I don't get that.  As far as I know, the Puzzle Theorists, the Indoctrination Theorists, etc. we're the ones MOST supportive of BioWare simply because we assume that they're smart enough to pull something like this off and pull it off well.

Best advice: Just ignore the trolls.

I'm not sure I think puzzle theory is what's going to happen, but it would be nice and I'm glad that there are people who are still hoping for a better ending. I personally don't even play the ending anymore - I just stop before I make it to Star Brat and make up my own. It'd be nice to have a canon ending, again, though, which is why I can appreciate the kind of discussions that go on in threads like this.

Mass Effect is a difficult franchise to let go of, but the reaction from the pro-enders makes me want to just leave the franchise for them sometimes. It was a horrible ending, and I guess we're not supposed to voice our opinion on it, or even try to deal with it through threads like this that explore alternatives, or even through fan fiction endings.

eh as long as he doesn't try to convert me. which is why i try to stay out of which ending is better threads.  the synthesis ending is what it is . you can't hide from it . that is close to having shep kill him or herself to make a ai based on his or her morals to lead a unstoppable army of reapers as the galaxies protector or dictator

the reapers are our friends ;)

ironically tried to turn to hate as a joke

well with everything going on in ny and nj they probably need to fun it up alittle to help the bsn members up there take there minds off the stuff a little
but like i said long time ago mp already has to much influence on sp already and doesnt need anymore but the get all dlcs to get the "happy" ending id agree with cause the fans are wanting it to be an option and it might save bw in the long run if they do

see i agree with you on a couple of things here
i hope this turns out true
and to imagine  how this story ends is not cool at all i didnt spend $300+ on all three games (CEs and dlcs) just to imagine an ending i want, that is what i payed bw for to get a destination for my journey that i spent time money and sleep on
but yeah just sayin
